I was so wrong about Son. Please shoot me in the head against a post. His goal deserves complete immunity from being benched for the rest of the season even if it completely harms the team. Son fanboys are absolute chads. Give Son another Vogue magazine cover shoot.

Now I will tweet about how great Son is from my PSG Son display picture account with Messi in my bio 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

He’s amazing running at tired legs, using him as a super sub is an amazing option and potentially a better use of him than starting him. Hope we utilize it going forward regularly.

I do hope that Sonny’s excellent performance today doesn’t delude Conte into starting him in next weeks Chavs game. Sonny needs more time to get his confidence back and starting him next week because he scored today will raise expectations on him and may well be counterproductive.
Keep him on the bench and super sub him for at least a couple more games thus giving him a rest and taking any pressure off him and then he’ll be his old self again.

Thought he wasn't that great outside the goal tbh.

He was again dropping deep with a defender up his backside and losing the ball frquently. Still a looks a lot sharper than some of the lows of recent weeks.

That's a hugely impressive stat.

Might be better to use him as a super sub next week, playing Kane and Richarlison to rest Son, and following week rest Kane for a game and see if a Richarlison/Son combo works.

Lovely touch by Son for that 2nd goal but he’s still holding up the ball for too long sometimes. Extremely frustrating to see him lose the ball like that when we are about to counterattack. Simply indecisive or thinking too much

Yeah, I was really happy for him with the goal.
Lovely skill.

I honestly think he's trying to do "too much" when he has ball at feet in our half.

He'll come good, but I would be happy for Richy to get some more minutes before bringing Sonny back in the starting II.

It's still crazy to me that we got a talent in the final third like Son and we're using him like a CDM in 80-90% of the game... same goes for Richie.

We need to just play them as attackers and keep them up front. Son is not young anymore and can't run around the pitch like he used to.

Most of his problems were still on display yesterday. Other than utter composure to slot the ball in last flappyhanski
He still gave the ball away on the edge of out box "defending" set pieces. He still miscontrolled numerous passes. He still dithered on the ball too long a few times.

He is not "back"
But after Richarlison worked their backline into the ground with little fruit for his labour, it was good to bring Son on and see him score.
He'll no doubt be back in the starting 11 next weekend but I can't get down with that tbh.
