He doesn't have any strengths... the one he did have has walked out the door and will never return, he's soft as fuck, has no leadership qualities despite being made captain, no good in the air, doesn't hold the ball up, his set pieces are abysmal baring a keeper making a mess of it and to top it all off he can't find the back of the net from 5 yards out with just the keeper to beat. He'd done... great servant but doesn't even warrant a squad place nowadays. At his very best Son had a partner to work with. On the face of it, he looks washed up. However, I would love to see if he could still work in a decent pairing. Working off Solanke for example rather than being so isolated on the left.
As for playing CF. It has never ever worked so it’s not a reasonable way to judge him.
Salah being played CM would look washed. Liverpool play him to his strengths. Spurs play son to the teams system. Not to the players strengths.
Took the fanboy over 24 hours to come up with this utter drivel !Have you actually tried hitting a football at that pace yourself? You can't really look at the keeper and where he's going. You hit it on goal and 8 or 9 / 10 it's a goal. And Martinez being one of the largest and smartest keepers in the world will manage to cover almost all the ground area by coming so close. Only real place to safely score is to hit it above him but also that is risky. Just saying. I was disappointed that Sonny missed but if you know football and see the angles, you know that scoring that one is harder than it looks.
Seriously, if missing a sitter means that you're done, then BJ should retire tomorrow.Took the fanboy over 24 hours to come up with this utter drivel !![]()

Usually without a keeper in front of him as well. But of course we expect more from Son. A golden boot winner without taking penalties.
Your level of bias is incredible. If Kulu or Johnson had missed that chance your comments would have been massively differentHave you actually tried hitting a football at that pace yourself? i said at the time it was the worst choice as captain as he doesnt have the personality for it. some idiots said that didnt matter and he is a good choice cos hes popular or some bollox loool. them people have never played a competitive game of football in their life. What gets on my wick is he is our captain, disgraceful.
Pulls out of challenges, hides , no heart. Plus he couldn’t finish a packet of crisps.
Every single week, it’s like watching Darren Bent again
He played great under 5 different managers in a 10 year span which is amazing and he has been injury free for most of it while other younger players are dropping like flies....However, his form has dipped and Angeball probably has alot to do with it but his time with us is now up. At 33 now, he needs to find a team that suits his style of play rather than wasting both his and our time.Too quick to jump in on this. Any idiot knows that Sonny isn’t great with his back to the goal (and no runners around); he never really had the skill (nor does anyone really) to dribble away from four or five pressing oppo players; that he can’t play for headers and drop-downs against a couple of centre-backs - never has been, never will.
In case no-one noticed, it’s not just Sonny who’s not hitting any heights, it’s pretty much the whole team. That’s either a) we’ve got a whole squad of players who’ve suddenly turned sh!T or b) the system doesn’t suit the players (at best).
Anyone - and I do mean anyone - could get more from Son by playing a cohesive mid-block and playing with space ahead of the MF, rather than slowly congesting the final third and then blaming it on whichever unfortunate winger / forward is out there.
It’s awful tactics. Don’t let Ange lead you to believe otherwise.
Maybe. Or Ange doesn’t know how to utilise the one ‘class is permanent’ player we have left. He’s signed an extension: Ange should be gone in the summer - give him his swansong - from the bench or otherwise. The current coach is so obsessed with his playground system that we’ve cleared out our ‘stable’ players and - well - here we are.He played great under 5 different managers in a 10 year span which is amazing and he has been injury free for most of it while other younger players are dropping like flies....However, his form has dipped and Angeball probably has alot to do with it but his time with us is now up.
