You just have to go through the match threads over the last two seasons and you will see how many fans had, rightfully seen that it was time for him to move to a lesser league to ply his trade.

The PL is, arguably, currently the best professional league in the world. Sonny’s body had shown that he couldn’t cope up with the physicality and pace of the EPL as he could in his earlier years.

I’m just glad that he had spent his peak years with us and we should rightfully, let him enjoy his last few playing years in a league that suits him now.

He will always be a legend at this club and I’m sure the club is close to his heart. He will return here after his playing days are over, either as an ambassador or in some other capacity. His links with us aren’t over even though he’s not our player anymore.

Many fans said so. Many fans also said Ange was the real deal. A lot of fans hyped BJ. Romero is called world class by some.

There are so many opinions and they are often wrong.

Tell me who looked good under Ange?

So basing on that is very premature. If he was so washed up, he wouldn't deliver at MLS either. He's still pacy and will always be one of the most clinical finishers.

PL is often overrated as well. You'd think a PL wins every edition of CL, which is obviously not the case.

Yea, and now he can once again strike a ball, just like before. Scored some beauties from outside the box. In terms of speed, he still clocked one of the top speeds last season. But he was ran into the ground, and everything was a mess. Just look at Forest right now. Losses to Swansea and Sunderland. Draw with Burnley.

He wanted to leave since Frank didn't rate him. At least that's what I've gathered from articles. I don't really think Frank's choices have been any better. So far he's played Tel, Odobert, BJ and Simons there, and they've all been awful.

Anyway, good to see that he's enjoying his game again with a manager that appreciates him.

It's the time though mate on the ball they give him to wind up the shots he's taking he won't get that in the prem

There's a reason the clubs liked to him when we was letting him go was MLS and Saudi not other major European league teams

I'm glad he's doing well ofc nice to see him looking the business again

No doubt, he wouldn't score the same number of goals here.

I just wonder how many Tel or Odobert, for example, would score there. Is he still sharper than they are?

It's of course all speculation, but I think it's unfair to say that just because you play in MLS, you're automatically washed up.

I suppose we'll have to wait until next years world cup to get a glimpse of Son at the highest stage again. If he's still fresh and productive then, I think it's fair to say that writing him off last season was premature.
 
MLS is literally the Amateur level of FC26. Nobody accelerates except Son who is like being controlled by a player who keep pressing the sprint button on the controller. 🤣

But props to LAFC for playing Son in the middle. The manager clearly have watched how Kane and Son played together and not how Son was used stupidly on the LW for us in majority of last two seasons.

International football isn't the highest level.

No-one forced Sonny out to America.... He had every chance to angle for a move to (eg) Italy; which is slower and less intense than the EPL whilst still being a significantly higher level than MLS.

HE chose not to.

Stop playing the victim card for him... It's not necessary. It serves nothing more than to tarnish perfect exit that he had here.

You're a hater. It's not like the Bundesliga teams that Bayern are facing are that much better. That's why one team wins pretty much every year. But look at the bottom half. So what's your point?
