Amazing. But let's not get carried away with the 5 years. Wasn't that bale's contract length for his last extension and he left with 4 years left?

At least it guarantees a decent fee for him if PDF come creeping next summer. Wouldnt be surprised if they have promised him captaincy as well

i'm just happy we have him in goal for at least another year though at worst
 
Great news to wake up to, better than any new signing - I love this bloke and my missus knows it - if that chiselled French fucker turned up on my doorstep asking for help with his 'ball distribution' I'd be all over it. (allthehomo)

I think I am more pleased that after a World Cup where Hugo excelled we have quickly tied him down to a long term contract.

Gives me faith that we are still a big team going in the right direction.
