Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Walkers form has dipped just at the wrong time, even Chiriches would have looked good yesterday, but he was at fault for the collision, if he would have prepared to cover his position correctly then Lloris would have been fine.
Can't see him starting for England .o

I know that this is just a silly superstition but I always feel as though things are not going to go well when Hugo wears the grey strip, always feel better when he plays in purple or green.

Mignolet and Hart are better than Lloris for those clowns????

"Simon Mignolet was dropped by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in December after a nervy start".
A nervy start, fucking hell, so in other words he was shit in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec. He has played better in Jan, Feb and March and must therefore be one of the best keepers in the league, it's embarrassing to have him even mentioned in the article as he has been shit for twice as long as he has be good. He was so shit that it was a topic of discussion after every game.
Courtois is an odd one for me, I don't think he is shit, far from it, but I have not seen him pull off world class saves every single match, in fact he rarely has to do much in a game. Wasn't he also dropped by Maurine for being shit a month or two ago? He had a great season last year at Athletico and for me is living off that reputation (Oh and he had a Mignoletesk calamity last week that gifted Hull the equaliser).
We all know what Lloris can do as he keeps us in the game every week. As much as I admire him as a world class talent, he will not be the very best as his distribution/kicking is average (when Vorm plays you notice the difference between them when comparing their kicking, Vorm being far better in that respect). But a goal keeper should be judged first and foremost by his saves and for this reason there is little to choose between De Gea and Lloris. Lloris and De Gea have both walked off with MOTM this year, an accolade that is not one to boast about, but to win this argument surely the keeper with the most MOTM awards wins. I think that is Lloris.

Sports punditry usually lacks imagination. The fact we've conceded so many goals will make them dismiss Lloris, even though we know (from watching him in every match) that he's outstanding.
Courtois definitely benefits from having a good, settled defence in front of him (and as part of a team who will play negative, defensive tactics once they're in front).

De Gea certainly deserves the number one spot as United have a superior defensive record to ours this season despite their defensive frailties - so many times having been saved by him.

To see how much better a goalkeeper can look thanks to good defending, look no further than Gomes when King was in front of him.

Lloris, Courtois and De Gea are the best keepers in the prem by a country mile (IMO, De Gea is the 3rd of that 3). Neuer is better than the 3 of them. but we have, IMO, 3 of the world's top 4 in this country.

On the one hand, it makes me madly angry that Hugo doesn't get the credit he deserves - being rated worse than Mignolet and Hart is a joke for me and in my opinion he is better than De Gea and Courtois.

On the other hand, if other clubs don't see how good Hugo is, then there might be just the teeniest tiniest more chance of him staying as the super rich clubs target De Gea, Cech, etc.

I think the people in charge of scouting/player recruitment know just how good Lloris is, regardless of whether the press see it as well.

Besides, we've got the poster boy in Harry Kane right now, he's taking all the limelight for Spurs at the moment.

Instead of goals conceded, and even that can be narrowed down to how many goals was the goalkeeper responsible for, it might be better to consider how many saves the keeper made in games where we one by the odd goal, which is practically all our wins this season. In each, Lloris has had to make at least one incredible save, ordinarily more.

De Gea has been unquestionable brilliant this season but, and this is slightly weird, so to has Rob Green. Judging players shouldn't just be about the very base statistics.

Any update on the status of Hugo's knee? I know he's truly only projected to miss Burnley on Sunday, and Sherwood's return to the Lane with Villa looms the following week.

This would be prime atmosphere for Lloris to return, I reckon.
