I don't mind having 10+ subs on the bench.

But being able to make 5 is silly - especially when it comes to say Man City vs. a smaller club. It's not good from a competitive standpoint at all.
I didn’t see what the problem was at first but this is a great point, didn’t think of this at all.

If we are going to change things, lets do more.We should be allowed to change kits at half time.
Imagine beating West ham 4 nil at their place them coming out for the restart in clown boots and Ra-Ra skirts? And while they are nervously waiting to kick off,we could be doing the "it aint half hot mum" end credits dance.
I feel it would give us an edge...

You can be Lofty. I'll probably be Gloria.

The fact that Mourinho has not taken advantage of this rule now is extremely discouraging. Hopefully this ruling will make him adapt a bit more for these last 5 matches.
Jose made 4 substitutes against Sheffield United when we were chasing the game, we haven't lost another game since the change in rules and changing multiple positions for fresh legs is a risk when you're leading/getting something out of the game.

We were also missing some players and have clear fitness issues and a lack of depth in the squad. So you're talking shit, again.

Jose is not maximizing the tactical advantages of more subs, this isn't really a debate. Running the same players into the ground is what causes fitness issues in the first place. We have depth Jose just isn't using it.

Avg. subs used per PL match since restart:
Liverpool 5
Man Utd 5
Brighton 5
Woolwich 4.67
Norwich 4.6
Newcastle 4.5
Bournemouth 4.5
Aston Villa 4
Man City 3.8
Leicester 3.8
Watford 3.8
Everton 3.75
Chelsea 3.6
Crystal Palace 3.4
Wolves 3.25
Southampton 3.25
Sheff Utd 3.2
Tottenham 3
West Ham 2.5
Burnley 1.5

Also, Mou didn't use any subs against Manchester United to counter the Pogba sub that changed the match, and didn't make the last two subs against Sheffield United until after we were down 2-0 when it was obvious before that occurred that something needed to be changed.

Outside of striker, where our depth is wingers, we have Son, Lucas, Lamela, Dele, Lo Celso, Gedson, Sessegnon and Bergwijn that can play on the wings, Dele, Lo Celso, Sissoko, Ndombele, Winks, Skipp and Gedson that can play in the midfield. That's 12 players for 5 spots. There's no reason why those spots shouldn't be heavily rotated since he can now utilize 5 subs a match, and it's not happening.

Liverpool have already won the league, United have more strength in depth as do Chelsea and Manchester City and this is over what, 4-6 games? Tactical advantage? You don't have a fucking clue.

Burnley have won 3 games, drawn 1 and only lost once since the restart and that was to fucking City. It's easy to change things when you're far ahead or behind as you have less risk of dropping posts.

Norwich have lost 6 on the bounce, real advantage.

So if one team can only use 3 subs and the other can use 5, that's not a tactical advantage? And that having a bench of 9 isn't more advantageous than a bench of 7?

My point was Mou isn't using all the tools at his disposal because he's not using his subs and bench. If we had won the last 4 matches running away, maybe you'd have a point, but I don't know how you can look at the performances since the restart, including the wins, and say that Mou has effectively used the squad depth, both in match and with a longer term outlook.

It's not just how many are used, but when they are used, and is the squad being rotated to deal with the match crunch and mitigate injury risk.
