Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mired in a historically bad 2.5 year run and faced with relegation, hiring someone who had never played or managed in the PL, or England, just seemed like an obviously poor decision. And nothing as of yet changes that thinking.

ENIC's MO always seems to be eschewing conventional wisdom, habitually in pursuit of a cheap advantage from being a trendsetter rather than a follower. And habitually failing.
Maybe…just maybe no one else wanted the job ?

Agree, except I didn’t even get the vibe he’s saying they aren’t good enough.

Hes more giving the vibe they haven’t been good enough but could be if they keep working in the right way.

Agreed, and if he says the players aren't good enough, unless he thinks it will have the reverse effect of making them prove a point, it would be both stupid and sackable

Tudor surely has to be saying you are too good to be here. Now prove it.

Amazing how Richy has all of a sudden turned into a good player. We are well and truly shite.

He’s always had a very good goals to minute ratio.

Right now, we need goals. I think people also see the mis touches and focus on them too much. Off the ball, his movement and instincts are what makes him popular with every coach he’s had from Ancelotti to Ange.

Hes also a relentless worker and a fighter that refuses to lose. We need that mentality right now.

Hes not going to be the most polished player I agree and his injury record means the premier league isn’t the place for him but after all his struggles mentally and with injuries, I’d fucking love it if his send off was scoring the goals to keep us up

To brutally honest I don’t give a fuck who plays and as long as we survive that’s the most important thing. At the end of the season we can try get rid of all the shite that’s been stinking this place up for a while now. Richy is one of them but he’s got a gang of pals that can get to fuck too come the summer. I’d honestly maybe keep 6 of our whole first team squad and 2 of them have been out all season. Fucking pathetic that they have got us in this position.

tbh I can’t disagree with you for seeing it that way

They all need to fucking step up and get us out of this mess

Out of interest, which 6 or so would you keep?

I think it’s less that he’s a good player and much more that he has experience willing a team to the finish line in a relegation scrap - with a club who also felt there shouldn’t be a relegation possibility at the time.

I have been a Richy hater most of his time here but he’s really the only man in the room that I trust to strap ‘em up and fight.

He isn't good enough for Spurs but he does give everything he has to the team every time he plays.

I wouldn't say a bad word about him.

Always trys.

God loves a trier.
What? Why don’t you play up front, you’ll be fucking shit as well. Are we supposed to just say oh well at least he’s trying then as well?

This feeble minded thinking is why we’re in this mess in the first place.

Yeah this drives me mad

Richarlisons 60% and Muanis 40% pass rate in last game and people want to rely on them

Then wonder why we cant have sustainable attacks

Wrong.

Harry would have immediate impact and lift the whole mood of the club.

Keano as his assistant bumps it up another level.

This phase is all about VIBE.

Tudor hasn't done anything revolutionary in training to make it a tricky transition from here

Just got them doing bleeps.

His set-ups have been horrible and he hasn't got a clue about the prem, or this club, and zero connection apart from fans thinking he's a bit of a tough-guy.

Lame.

We need common sense appraoch and tons of bonhomie with a manager who has strong links with the club who the fans can instantly buy into, as they need to be REACTIVATED and will play a huge role in this.

Harry has a natural way that inspires, supper approachable, will set us up effectively for what we have left in squad and will inspire younger players and fill them with confidence (along with rest of squad).

He'll tell them to go out there, not be afraid and play their football.

And underneath it he will put sensible, balanced structure.

If we'd have gotten him in instead of Tudor we'd not be here shitting it to such a degree.

If Tudor doesn't come up with the goods tomorrow, he's GOT TO GO.

There's no time to fuck about.

Bin him.

The players are clearly not taking to him.
What in earth makes you think that Arry still has what he had when he was last with us?
I've said it before but I doubt any of our squad have ever heard of him and they'll just think he's an old Mike Bassett or something.
Some old man who's wandered in and forgotten to take his meds.

Both the players and the game have all moved on since Arry did anything of note.

Keano has a decent job and is trying to build a career in management, he's not going to chuck that in the bin for a couple of months with us which may see him end up with a relegation on his CV.

I can't actually believe that you seriously think it's a possibility, let alone a good idea.

They need to sell up. It's the only thing that'll generate meaningful change. They literally know nothing about how to run a football club. It's not very often I'll give Levy flowers, and even this isn't really praise by any means, but Frank would've ben gone before January and we'd have got some deals done in January. Now, for the quality of those deals, Lange was his guy, so probably not great, but we'd probably have had more of a fighting chance. He also hired that incompetent Vinai idiot too, so in the end, all roads lead to that shiny dome.

Even if we get out of this, ENIC, or Tavistock for those who want to be pedantic, will have us back in the same position again. Might not be next year, but it'll happen. Nothing will ever change.
Without wanting to turn this into an Enic debate because there's a thread for that, they are only currently playing with the hand that Levy gave them.

Daniel (COYS) hired Frank, Lange and Vinai and I doubt the new kids would've wanted the instant upheaval of completely clearing the decks just before the start of the season.

This summer is, and always has been, when we're going to properly find out what they're all about.
If they act fast, decisively and in a positive manner, then great but if they dither and dally then I'll be joining the calls against them.
I just think they deserve a chance to prove their worth and they've not really had that yet.

This piece is hugely telling
"It's impossible to compare. Impossible. Because the problems are totally different.
"When you go in at Juventus, you have 20 players. Here you come and have 12 players. There you fight for Champions League, here you fight for relegation.
"So that's the start. Then you go player by player, there are big differences everywhere."

That is such a damning line. He is rightly saying our players are nowhere near the level of even Juve who are 6th in Serie A.

They are not, we are losing like 7 players that would be starters, our goalkeeper can't be trusted, our strikers doesn't score goals and despite of all that we just got a midfielder that's more of the same and a young brazilian that doesn't play for the LB. After watching our last 2 games I don't think we have enough to keep on the PL, we'll depend on the other teams doing even worse.
