Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I want him to succeed so that we avoid relegation, obviously, but I also want him to succeed just so we have some affinity with another figurehead again. We haven't had that for fucking ages, even ange is tainted by the fact that he was largely a bit pants despite winning a trophy. The more managers you connect with the better, and it also benefits our standing within the game, it's ridiculous how much of an impact it has on so many levels

Every man here wanted him out one week ago, and now he's our hope of salvation.

Just when you think you've got football figured out, it'll make a mug of you. Give it a week.

He’s shown tactical flexibility and changed his habits of a lifetime to go from a back 3 to a back 4 and has used Gray, Tel and now Simons properly.

Fair play to the man. Took him a while to get there but he’s seen what is staring him in the face.
Keep picking the right players in their correct positions and we can stay up.

In Igor we have to trust.
Just don’t let us down IT.

A substitute teacher who the players had 0 respect for.
“Teams”, whether they are footballers or sales end up or can end up reflecting who their manager is and perform accordingly.

It’s abundantly clear the difference in personalities between Tudor and Frank. If we stuck them in the ring together, nobody would lump on Frank.

And that’s what we’ve started to see, a team managed by a tough personality who will call you a cunt and fight if needed, unlike Frank unfortunately.

I said a few weeks ago, we’ve gone from “Frank Spencer” to “ Lenny McLean” and we’re now seeing that being reflected on the pitch.

Saw someone complain last night because he went straight down the tunnel after the game instead of applauding the fans.

When did pundits get so soft?!

Is mad how people just have to find something to use against him! There's gonna be a lot of media vitriol when he keeps us up.

Not true. I was all in from day 1 and I was all in after Palace and first leg against Atleti. So many mitigating circumstances as to why he couldn't get a result. Tough starting fixtures, poor discipline, injuries and clown goalkeeper performance. It was always going to take a few games to wash the club of Frank's fucking shit football. But we are seeing better organisation, better attacking play, more running, players coming back, better discipline. He isn't the long term answer but he does get quick buy in which tends to lead to results. We will win Sunday and stay up comfortably.

King is another one who's become symbolic of the cushy, jobs for the lads' culture that's been a breeding ground for complacency and failure for far too long.

Another one that should be following Levy, Lange, Vinai, ENIC and their whole rotten legacy out the fucking door.

Drain the swamp
So absolute club legend Ledley King is now a part of "the swamp"?

What next? Sir Bill was a nonce? Glenn is a gooner cunt?

Is there any part of our wonderful club that you actually like?

It could be that instead of walking around the pitch soaking up applause from the fans he took the modest approach that it’s not about him and left the players to enjoy their applause. It could be that he knows there is much work to do, the job is nowhere near done and he is focusing on that…

Felt like a proper idiot when I bigged him up then he lost 4 on the bounce and looked like getting sacked.

It's taken a while but it feels like he's finally found something system-wise and got a real grip on the players' mentality, confidence, desire to run and work for team, etc. Maybe we underestimated the difficulty of the job: broken team with low confidence AND only about 12 fit players. Doesn't get much harder for a manager coming in mid-season.

All feels quite fragile atm (people will be calling for his head if we lose to Forest ofc) but provided we put in the effort and a reasonable performance I reckon we should just give Tudor the season. The Atletico game proves what we're capable of under him - let's just ride it out and pray he can replicate that in the league.

If there's anyone on here who's not encouraged to be positive due to the last two results.

Can you please just keep your fucking gloom to yourselves and let the vast majority, who now don't feel like jumping out of a window, enjoy what the last two performances signify.

Cheers.
I've just had a glance at the League table and I reckon Conference League's not out of the question...

I didn't like the 3 at the back, what was really shaky. 4-4-2 with Porro as RM is defensive a bit with 5 at the back.
Tudor is making warriors of the team. Danso en specially Romero are made of this kind of game. Headers, blocking.
Look what Spence did around 90' min. Lost the ball and sprinted back the entire field.
Don't forget Vicario. When he only use his hands, his at his best.

Draw against Liverpool and win against Atletico. Good preparation and a boost for team spirit for the big match against Forest.

Also helps the fanbase get over this ridiculous notion that only Poch and/or Ange are capable of managing this club...

Also Tel and Gray had really good games, Tel wasn't having Frank at all. And Frank never trusted Gray in midfield.

Frank is a fraud. Not only that he couldn't get the best out of the players, especially the younger ones, but his actual team selections were fucking awful.

The job was just too big for him. Warning signs there from day one about admitting we’d lose games. He obviously had minimal respect from the players that completely evaporated inbetween losing to the scum and the Chelsea home defeat. He should have been sacked then.

As I said when Tudor came in, he’d get the respect of the players because of his career and would understand the pressures of playing for us considering where he played.

He’s getting them to work harder too and I think they are enjoying it. I’m not convinced with his tactics really but I still think he’s learning about this group of players. He needs to get through Forest with a good result, get his normal assistant in to help and then have a few weeks on the training ground and get some players back and hopefully we will be in a much better shape.

I’ll be honest, this 4-4-2 thing is bending my brain a bit. Porro and Tel started as Right and Left mids but Tel was much more advanced because VDV was a sitting LB behind him?

Xavi was basically a second striker with the free role to turn up anywhere and regularly rotated positions with Tel?

It looked to me like we moved between a 4-4-2 and a 3-4-1-2 in possession a fair amount but mostly that was 4-4-2?
