Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just a question, but what boots would have been best for last night?
I predominantly wear astro turfs as i play on 3G.
I also have worn astro on normal turf too and no problems unless the turf is drenched through.

Must admit when playing, i wouldnt think twice about the surface, i just stick my boots on and play, so yeah i just want to know what kind of boots would have been suitable rather than moulds.

:ange-hmm:
Long metal studs.

Just a guess, but I expect most were wearing the moulded blades.

If Mason is the option, I'm tempted to see it out with Tudor instead.
24 hours ago I agreed with you and if we get a reaction and get something at Anfield I will agree with you again.

Mason is not a good option, at all, I have forgotten none of the weaknesses and he did nothing to raise his stock at West Brom.

But the dwindling alternatives are even worse.

People reaching for Dyche or Redknapp are doing so based on what their careers mean in the narrative of football, not what they would actually be capable of stepping into the Spurs dressing room tomorrow, those are extremely bad ideas, the team would look nothing like the football we remember from those two managers.

If a Maresca or De Zerbi would take the job on a permanent basis I would certainly be open to that, but I very much doubt they would pick up the phone at this stage.

At this stage, we’re stuck with these players until end of season. Nobody can get a tune out of them. They’re unmanageable. Sack Tudor. Let the players run the show until the end of the season. Romero and Van de Ven as joint interim player managers, perhaps.

Course he's still here. Our leaders didn't have a back up plan for Frank despite it being obvious for months that he was out of his depth and needed to go so for me it's not surprising at all that they didn't even think that they would need a back up plan for Tudor.
Complete and utter incompetence

Also CM is arguably our weakest position and we leave 2 sub-par players exposed in there when we have the back 3.

At least pack the midfield and make it difficult to play through.
when youre up against it, you should always be beefing the midfield imo, you get on top of the midfield war and you always have a chance, its just so dumb.

a solid midfield with workers is far better to defend than a back 3 that will be under pressure due to a weakness in midfield.

we should be playing a 41212 or a 4312, with fullbacks supplying the width, a midfield battle ready and 2 strikers centrally with a 'playmaker' behind them. its not great but its the best we can do with this bunch of players available.

We never had time for him to get to know the players -- e.g. NOT TO START KINSKY, NOT TO PLAY A BACK 3 etc -- and acclimatise to the prem.

Anyway, this club has been dead for a long time.

Fitting that the clowns above finally finish it off like this.

If you can put the "football iz football innit" stuff to one side for a moment, Mason has extensively worked with almost our entire team in the past, with much greater success.

He's not starting from zero, which is about the only lifeline we can reach for here.

The only other person that's true of is Ange, who I doubt would accept the job and is probably a worse idea anyhow.
Ange couldn't buy a league win last season, why would that be any different now?

Ryan Mason would be a(nother) disaster. He was sacked when West Brom were 18th in the Championship FFS.

Fuck me, who are they going to suggest next?

Honestly a season in the championship may actually give the long needed reset. As long as we are in the Prem the Lewis's keep lining their pockets and just let it go as it has

If it's Mason we are 100% down. And I'd put good money on the scumbag criminals then keeping him on next season in the Championship
Agree re Mason, but feck me the 2nd part is pure tinfoil hat stuff.

It's clear they have someone in mind for the summer, most likely Poch, regardless if we go down, by the sounds of it.

What's the pint on getting a short term temp of the they didn't have someone lined up.
