Potter deserves a shot at a bigger club I’m throwing my vote in for him

Parker is quality too but imo needs a couple more seasons experience to take the risk

Hassenhuttll despite what some may say is a quality coach and has premier league experience considering the confines @ Saints he sets his teams up well like Poch and uses all avenues in the club working with the youth teams and all age groups to get to grips with his tactical side of the game so everyone sings from the same hymn sheet.

I’m a big fan of Potter too has worked hard to get his shot in the premier league and like you said you can tell how well his team are coached.

He’s also a very positive motivator of players and his teams and always comes across like this in his interviews
He has a masters in leadership and emotional intelligence apparently. He strikes me as a bloke who has worked very hard in every aspect of management. He won't act like Jose does and alienate everyone.

Not a lot of mentions for Dean Smith. I don’t want him here, but think he’s going to be in the frame if we press the button. Quite enjoy watching Villa play most of the time. Would certainly have him above Potter.

Honestly I don't really care who comes in, as long as it's entertaining to watch. At this point that's all I'm hoping for. Even if we lose, as long as it was a half decent game then I won't complain while we rebuild. Most of this season just reminds me of the Champions League final. Over and over again.

Man, seriously. Controlling Everton by playing out a home 0-0 to remain hovering above the relegation zone? Behave.
Going by form in the last 5, 10 and 15 matches, they’re around top 10 and only 3-4 points worse than us. I think one of the reasons they’re where they are in the table is because they started the season poorly.

I like Potter but I am unusure he’s the type of a manager we’d need now. Maybe 5 years ago yes.

LE: I looked over the table in the last 20 matches and they’re 12th, we’re 13th lol.

Not sure why you’ve looked at the last 20 matches when we’ve either a league table to look at or the accepted last six matches form table.

Well, I am sure actually. 😂

Dean Smith seems to be a great coach but he is in his dream job right now and couldn’t see him ever wanting to leave the Villa.

current Brentford boss Thomas Frank is a name worth mentioning too high praise for a championship manager maybe but when you look deeper at his tactics and philosophies etc he’s a real self made gem

Another interesting name. But that one may be dependent on if Brentford get promotion or not.

Another very interesting name in coaching is Roberto De Zerbi, currently in Sassuolo in Serie A. He's made Sassuolo one of the hardest to beat teams in Italy and plays a exciting brand of football. A promising young coach at 41 years old. And according to transfermarkt his contract expires this season.

He would definitely be worth the punt if we gambled on him.

Gonna throw Julen Lopetegui's name back into the ring.

Plays attacking football on a tight budget. Speaks good English. Cheap.

Isn't baldist.

Whichever group of names are touted as possible replacements I just think they are going to need to hit the ground running.

Any appointment must be made pretty much straight after the final whistle of the last game.

Mourinho was never going to be with us for longer than 2/3 years. My opening post was made based on his previous outings but even I have been surprised at how little of what used to be s big footprint he has been able to implant.

We have got it wrong on so many levels for 2/3 ,years.

Levy must get the next set of decisions right but that is no easy task but we are still a massive club and will have the pick of quality.

Been a big watcher of sassuolo the past couple of seasons they play great football and as you said really hard team to beat in Serie A which is no mean feat for a club that size

Hütter has activated his release clause and will leave Frankfurt at the end of the season. Gladbach seems the most likely destination.

Definition of sideways move if true.

And I mean it.

This is an appointment Levy had hoped he would not have had to consider.

There will be and is much talk already about Pochettino having been let down, shafted or whatever. I think some of that is right, especially in that nonsense of no transfers the season before last.

In saying that Pochettino was then backed to a large degree this summer and we have been shambolic.

Hence the early call to Mourinho, first to steady and give us some discipline and pride (here comes the rollercoaster) and then to see what he can do as he approaches his 60th year.

Beyond that and remember the man Mourinho is he will move on. This is 2/3 years maximum.

So Levy's biggest job is actually identifying who comes next and what he has bought himself is time in which to do that.

From Pochettino it had to be a proven winner. The next appointment will cast a wider net.
Aged like rancid milk🤣🤣🤣
