Player International Break Watch

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

View: https://youtu.be/UTMFelOlex8?t=66 .

People at THFC need to learn and understand that it doesn't matter if/how/how much players play during international breaks for their national sides. That stuff doesn't matter. There are totally different rules when it comes to player selection. Agents are connected to national bodies and push players because they have connections. That inflates the price of particular players. System is commonly rigged like that.

Its back !

The interesting thing for me is which players are NOT called up and can get 2 weeks rest and training at Spurs. So lets look at those called up :

GK
Vicario (Italy)

Defenders
Udogie (Italy)
Spence (England)
Van de Ven (Netherlands)
Romero (Argentina)
Davies (Wales)
Porro (Spain)

Midfield
Sarr (Senegal)
Gray (E u21)
Palhinha (Portugal)

Attackers
Johnson (Wales)
Kudus (Ghana)
Simons (Netherlands)
Tel (France u21)
Odobert (France u21)
Richarlison (Brazil)

Unknown atm - Bergvall (Sweden), Bentancur (Uruguay), Kinsky (Sweden), Bissouma (Mali

Not Called up : Kolo Muani, plus injured Solanke, Kulusevski, Maddison, Dragusin

So only Kolo Muani likely to be at training for next 2 weeks (plus players coming back from international duty ....

I would be shocked if Sweden call up Kinsky. :)

Kinsky not in and nothing on Uruguay.

After this break we play 4 pl games until the next break

Villa home
Everton away
Chelsea home
Manu home

Nice to have a break from football every few weeks
I dont know why people like to watch International football apart from the tournaments in the summer
Mostly completely pointless matches

I think I will watch some of the ko quali matches in march but that’s it until next summer

Time for netflix and co for me now 😇

What are we going to bitch about for the next two weeks?
No Levy
League position good
CL points on the board
Manager approval high
Won last game breaking the jinx
Designated scapegoat on the scoresheet
Player return imminent

Come on guys I have faith in our ability to manufacture some discontentment.

I suspect that Frank will field a weaker team vs Newcastle EFL Cup. From Everton to Copenhagen, it's 4 games in 10 days, inclusive. It's annoying that Newcastle get an extra days rest before and after our game, they play on the 25th, we play on 26th. Then after our game they play on 2nd November and we play on the 1st.

You forgot to mention our position in league table :
- 3rd place in PL
- 3rd place in PL2 (u21's) and
- 3rd place in WPL

Its too much consistency .... should never be allowed !

FFS. I know they are going to merge two breaks together into one longer one next season, but why not get them all over in one go at the start or end of the season?

The players already start preseason just recovering from an international tournament, so are just about fit to start playing for their clubs (you know - they guys that pay their wages throughout the year).

So NO to the new extended international break being at start of the season - it should ONLY be at end of the season.

Otherwise clubs would only get to play players who were knackered at start of the season. If national teams get them on international break at end of season, they (FIFA/UEFA) might understand that increasing international tournaments (and introducing the new World Club Cup) simply knackers the players more.
