Match Ipswich (A) - 22nd February - 3PM KICK OFF, AN ACTUAL 3PM KICK OFF

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So have in got this right?

I’m meant to be miserable when we lose to Ipswich

When we beat Ipswich 4-1
When Woolwich lose and fuck up their title challenge
When Chelsea lose
I’m meant to be fucking miserable

Well that does not sound like a whole lot of fun as a way of following one’s team . I think I will stick with the more traditional be annoyed when we lose , happy when we win , really happy when we win and our rivals lose . Call me nostalgic but I never really saw the problem with that approach back in the day .

Anyone else a fan of the retro style of supporting Spurs
Don't forget, you gotta hate Kulu too.

The closest professional club near us was Gillingham after Maidstone United folded

*Edit - I know they are back but honestly who really cares? Maidstone is a fucking shit heap.
Agree Madistone is a shithole - had an ex from there whom I didn't was the local bike to a point where half of Kent knew but after a month I figured it out & moved on :D

I enjoyed it fine thanks but it doesn't suddenly make us world beaters. I still think that we need to invest heavily, especially in midfield.
I loved reading this to & fro - I agree with you it shouldn't be a big whoop beating Ipswich, even though I Enjoyed being there as soon as we beat them at the stadium everyone I was with said this after 'OK we have Citeh next'.

You dealt with that well mah dude o7

We do not have the lowest wage bill, we have the lowest wage ratio. This is not good, and we do need to increase it. But it's getting overly focused on in the past 6 months because we've made a concerted effort to conduct the squad rebuild that's been needed for years and has resulted in many, many high wage earners being shipped off the wage bill (Kane, Dier, Ndombele, etc.).

This has created a lot of spare room in the wage budget, even if we were to stick to our historical 50-55% of revenue level. This is precisely why you're wrong and we won't lose players like Spence because they're offered larger wages elsewhere.

He sold Kane. Kane who gave an interview during the season wanking off to the prospect of playing with KDB at City. Kane who flew off to Florida during preseason in protest to our refusal to sell him to City as he wanted. We made him play out another season, during which he sulked for months and played like shite, then sold him to a club in Germany we've yet to have to play or compete with in any meaningful way.

Fact - Levy was a Spurs season ticket holder long before he had a professional involvement in football.

Fact - Levy attends more football matches (including away to fucking Tamworth) than any other current, and likely any former, Premier League chairman.

Inference - Levy clearly does care about the football. Whether or not his blundering gets in the way or not it's a ridiculous charge to claim he doesn't care about what happens on the pitch. He's not contractually obligated to sit in a drafty "stand" in January watching us play fucking Tamworth.

Anyway, as always I hate when some of you make factually wrong statements and then my correcting them paints me as some sort of Levy supporter or apologist. I'd help pack up his office if he ever fucked off, just to get him out the door sooner. But some of you post some complete rubbish.
Yo we've disagreed in the past on certain things but I've dealt with this User in the past it's like talking to a brick wall but It is fun to break down his dialectics once yo do you get tumble weed.

Good response!

Two outstanding performances.

But I am still not sure about the passing out from the back.

That worries me shitless on occasions.
I have ideas why this tactic has become prevalent in the PL but for me it's too risky, I'm not talking about a usual backpass to secure time to reform the players but this whole horse shoe bullshit in my opinion doesn't work unless the whole backline including the GK is 100% as it opens up the GK for some fukkeries.

Even we capitalised on it in some games with Bergie tackling a keeper from behind cos he didn't know he was there.

Geez I'd love for the coaching team to get the defensive side tighter , it's not a big ask , just a bit more conscious thought about what we are doing without the ball .
Plus we look so much better on attack when players are brave enough to play balls between the lines , that pass from Betancour to put Son through for the second goal was delicious , I watch so many games where I think why didn't you put that pass through , instead go sideways or back . We just look so much better when we pass the ball around , some players seem to have lost the courage , or confidence , hopefully this run of wins brings a bit of both back .

Don't worry man I've come to the realisation the person you are referring to is a bit of a curmudgeon & deals in a lot of hyperbolic statements - I've also come to realise they don't actually read responses they take in the information then somehow refuses to see any other points than what they want to convey.

It's a losing battle but aint it fun :)

Been reprimanded this morning for "being too cheerful" and "laughing at others misfortunes".
😂

Got to love it, a beautiful win on a Saturday no less and then both scum and chavs losing.

This was a big win, away as well and against tough battling team with a super biased ref playing for them. Some big performances.
Still things we can improve on but we can only beat who is in front of us, and ALL teams will have chances, that's football. The team spirit seems to be growing as more return from injury which bodes well. City will be a tougher match no doubt, but we are a bit of a bogey side for them so I fancy us to stay unbeaten in this run 🙏🏼 and maybe we can inflict more damage to them and take all 3 points.
