Match Ipswich (A) - 22nd February - 3PM KICK OFF, AN ACTUAL 3PM KICK OFF

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Everyone starting Odobert after saying Ange is at fault for rushing players back. Played 10 mins after missing nearly 4 months with multiple set backs. But yeah let’s start him! Classic 😂

Perhaps Johnson gets the start over Kulu.. he needs a rest and having him fresh for City who he usually plays well against would be good.
Son probably goes left again with Tel up front, but changes later could be Tel left for Son, Scarlett up top and Odobert on the right for Johnson. None of them plays a full game to keep freshness. Moore could also replace Tel in last 10-15 so Tel has a slight rest.
My concern is its quite lightweight and no big physical target /hold up man so it could be difficult breaking them down at first...

So surely Madders has to start...we will need a big match from him, this is the sort of game if he wants to be taken seriously he needs to dominate. Often he goes missing but turns it on in the 'glamour' games. His ability to pick the defense apart and always want the ball is what we need. A full week of training and hopefully some chemistry is building with him and Tel.

Danso is needed I think he will do well against Delap who is a tough opponent. Does Davies continue or Gray? Porro will start his 1641st game in a row that is nailed on while possibly Udogie gets some minutes. If Madders started against Utd perhaps Udogie does here just so Spence has a small rest for City.

Vic
Porro - Danso - Davies - Spence
Bentancur
Bergvall - Maddison
Johnson - Tel - Son
I expect Johnson for Kulu will be the only change, as the latter has been shit for weeks and is shagged.
Ange will probably want to get some consistency going in midfield and defence after a couple of clean sheets in a row.

Odobert and Udogie should be getting 30 mins in this.

He’d been training for a week on grass before coming on last time. By Ipswich it will be 2 weeks training.

When do we reach the point that it’s not “rushing back”?

Does anyone really know what rushing a player back is anymore?

I like your break down.

Kulu AGREE - but can't be the wing either he's not good there (eye test) he's a powerhouse physical guy (no homo) soo keep him central IMHO

Tel - Again he needs to central in front of Madders the 10 creates chances the 9 or 11 is to finish them not saying 10 can't as well. he wil also need to be subbed.

Moore/DIAMOND DANE - SUB IN FOR TEL - (Can't give times, this is just hope)

Defense - I hear you but Davies is better in Defence than Archie - I'm looking forward to our defence because I can't predict it

COYS!!!

We dont have a striker. I don't think Tel or Son is the answer as a #9. We're facing Ipswich.

I'm going with
Vicario
Spence Danso Davies Udogie
Gray
Bergvall Maddison
Odobert Scarlett Tel

I might be willing to consider using Kulusevski instead of Scarlett, but he's due a rest.
Ipswich are championship candidate. If you think Tel is not a good no. 9 for this match then we're in big trouble and should ship him back where ever he came from in June.

It's so nice to have some players back, options!

I don't want to see Kulu on the wing, it's not his preferred and he really doesn't offer much there. When he was on fire centrally and then covered wing to see a game out that is fine as he was in good vibes. This problem we have had where he has had to play wing constantly has not been good for him. The fatigue is another factor too. I hope we can see him more centrally in future and our wingers will be healthy.

Looking forward to this match I think with the boost of returning players we should extend our winning run.
