Oh get over yourself!

The ENIC out brigade have been vocal on here for years. They've never been silenced.

What happens is we play a shit match, have a shit result, fail to get a transfer done and they're all over here, in every thread saying I told you so.

When we play well, win, do seemingly good business, they go quiet.

It's how it is. It's how it's always been.

'Stamped out ruthlessly' lol no fucker has got them to shut up for decades!

No they fucking don't! This is just ridiculously untrue. But of course you'll get shit-loads of cheap likes/agrees for it because it's the summer transfer window & so everyone is optimistic. So predictable.

People DID express negativity in that thread, and the Ange thread when he got appointed. They get disagrees en masse, they get 'shut up, stop being miserable' and they get abuse. Then complaining because the 'negative' posters aren't around is ludicrous in the extreme.

I have no issue with people around this time preferring positivity. You go ahead and predict us to be 50 points ahead of Woolwich all you like, knock yourself out. But don't then complain that more cynical/realistic posters are less active, because that's EXACTLY what you and your ilk fucking want!

It's not jsut "ENIC out"...it's ANY dissension...gotta go with the hive mind or suffer the slings and arrows. It would be foolish to suggest otherwise.

.. So obviously, he will.

The same posters repeatedly with their massively confident predictions in the summer, before slowly disappearing as actual football gets played & every week there's evidence on the pitch to contrast with the lofty calls.

And again, whatever. If people want to be ultra optimistic then the Summer is the best time for it, again because Spurs aren't actually playing. But don't then come @ other posters about why they've stopped posting whilst telling them to shut up in the very next post.

I’m not against lenglet either because he’s the only defender we have that plays the forward pass quickly. He ups the tempo more than any of the others.

1. Romero has those things.
2. We don't "have" Lenglet.

His defending was suspect because he’s terrified of pace in behind him. Hard one with him.

It's not; it's easy... Don't spend money on defenders whom you know are "suspect" (i.e. poor) defensively.

Loving that we have a coach that actually grasps the very fucking simple concept that Spurs fans want front foot attacking football, think the blokes a star.
Seems to be bringing in energy and passion, and this is another little sign that the players will buy in.

Look so much forward to the next season now, and wow - how has things changed in just a couple of weeks! Keep in mind though that a rebuild and adaption is going to take time.

Ange now deserve what normally has been a scarce resource at Spurs - patience and time.

I am delighted that the negative posters are posting less. If you can’t feel optimistic about a new season then what’s the point?

Skipp was great at Norwich in the EFL, not so great last season - in fact a lot of the pelters aimed at Hojbjerg were due to him trying to mop up the failures of Skipp.

Quite a few on here have said the EFL is Winks' level, Skipp has already proved that it is his.
None of that is my directly to my point. It's the hypocrisy of wanting him gone so quickly. Winks had 5+ seasons (I think) to show he was garbage but you were still riding for him, dishing out kisses to those that had the temerity to place his name and shit in the same sentence. No reason Skipp can't get a bit more patience. Why did Winks deserve more time?

And I don't expect much from either but it's the inconsistency of reasoning that's bothering me.

That’s fine - so don’t complain they’ve stopped posting!!!

You don’t. Which is great. People who ask where the negative posters are whilst also telling negative posters to shut up are being ridiculous.
That’s fair. I wish posters like todd1882 todd1882 would just delete their accounts and join a fishing messageboard.

You really don't understand football at all. If a player is shit then they need to be moved on.

Romero doesn’t pass the ball quickly at all.
I know we don’t have lenglet,I was talking about last season and you know I was.
All defenders struggle at defending. Any player we sign will have moments when they struggle in a game, made uncomfortable and forced into mistakes.
Every centre back makes bad mistakes.
I don’t particularly want Lenglet, but I think he’d be an ok back up if his wages weren’t as high. I don’t think that will happen so this is actually pointless.
Ive seen Lenglet many times with Barca and he always stood out because of his passing. His misgivings were shown up last season because we struggled the same as it did for Romero,Dier and Davies at centre back.
