I've always felt that Postecoglou's system works best (or perhaps "only can work") with Maddison at his very best with a world class player at 6 behind him. For a few months Bissouma was that world class 6 but hasn't been for 18 months now.
So either get the World Class 6 that enable Madders to run the game or change the system.
The one constant is that Madders not only needs to play but play well. Without that we are fucked. As the league table shows.
If Maddison wants to shut the question then he needs to find a new kevel.

I really like how he speaks, goes some way beyond the over-the-moon/sick-as-a-parrot cliché stuff and always says interesting things.
Hes not lived up to expectations. Started off on fire. Can score and create on his day, but never the same after his injury.

I see no issue with playing them both as co-attacking midfielders in the same game.
