Making excuses for that performance?

Solanke is one of the best #9s in the Prem. Haaland and he's probably second after that.

Isak..?

I like Solanke but there's absolutely nothing to say he's better than Watkins either. Behind in England pecking order, less consistently productive, less good seasons to boast. He loses on every count other than subjective stuff. Both work very hard and do good off the ball stuff.

Solanke is just a good footballer..... a trier..... nothing special but Spurs will never sign a world class striker ...... we had to let one go because the club could not sign other world class players ...thats on Levy.

I don’t dislike Solanke, works hard and is a good reliable cog to have in a machine but he’s not exactly a guy who’s going to produce the outstanding in terms of creative productivity, and the problem is the rest of the parts in the attacking machine are fucking duff.

Just because the PL isn’t exactly blessed with great 9’s doesn’t really change that.the top two teams don’t really have one. But the ones they use are at least as effective as Solanke. Havertz works his nuts off too, and has more goals and creates about the same (xa) as Solanke.

Havertz is a donkey.

I'd take Solanke every day of the week.

Maddison is supposed to be creating for strikers. Did fucking nothing today except fuck up a FK that he should have let Son take.

Tbf he's not far of saying Dom is top 3 in the PL but I think that's just more a state of where the PL is at for strikers. The obsession of pep style football has killed the striker as a role. Genuinely bar Isak or Haaland wouldn't put any other striker in the PL in a bracket anywhere near World class

I don’t really get the blame on Madders. He is being asked to play deep where he is not suited at all. The gaps between defence-midfield-attack are huge. There’s literally only a safe pass sideways/backwards or a hopefully ball out wide that is ever on.

Madders would thrive in the right system. When Ange started Madders played high up off the left in a free role and did damage.

He is not a centre midfielder, let alone a deep lying one. I blame Ange.

how is he scraping top 10? waffle. Isak and Haaland clear on their own, after that I don't see a better #9 in the prem.
Scraping top 10 maybe a bit ott but there are other strikers in the PL at a similar level to Solanke.
Fullkrug has a better top flight record than dom. joao pedro at Brighton is a much better footballer imo.
He doesn’t fackin’ run about though so not on dom’s level apparently:nawty:

Nunez at Liverpool is a similar profile to DS how is Solanke miles ahead of him? Jesus is in there, Delap is much younger and similar but with a higher ceiling. Watkins at Villa who’s way ahead of DS in England pecking order. What would a fit Calvert-Lewen be like in a top 8 club? Mateta at palace is having his golden season like Solanke had.

No way Solanke is head and shoulders in front of that lot.

He was mostly on the left tonight. He always disappears when the going gets tough.
