Look around..... Most clubs don't get to sign a wc striker. Most clubs don't even get to have one.
Good player. Categorically NOT top drawer. Not a patch on peak Eriksen, which for me is the marker.

Remember when he used to destroy other teams by playing as an AM for Leicester, he was a top 5 AM in the League by the time, but I guess Porro and Udogie are better fits for the position.
not sure about that, 12 goals 8 assists is his career best, which for Leicester
this season he's on 9 goals 5 assists so he he may very well better that here.
no one was watching every Leicester game to see how consistent he was, i suspect he's very much the same player. Great one moment, a nothingness the next

Why? Yes it’s subjective but Dom isn’t the clear 3rd best striker like others have said -there are plenty of options. They all have played up top for their club, a few just aren’t big traditional 9s.
I’ll go with the first 8 and Evanilson if you want 9.

If you asked supporters of the other 18 clubs who’d they’d rather have up top I think Nunez wins it.
Before DS came to us no one was mentioning him as a top target in the transfer thread. Now at spurs after paying stupid money he’s magically turned into the 3rd best striker behind Isak and Haaland apparently. Solanke wouldn’t have 60 caps in the bag for Brazil like GJ if he was eligible either.

Not one (in my opinion) is better than Kane was at his best. Not one, and we are only talking of 3 or 4 at the most who would even be part of any real discussion.

After that Solanke, Watkins and Mateta are their own category.
Darwin and Jesus over any of them is just silly talk. And that’s putting it politely.
Obviously Isak and Haaland are miles clear of the rest.
Not sure why Solanke suddenly gets put in such a high bracket. If he was still at Bournemouth with 7 in 19 this season would you put him there? I doubt it. Were any other big clubs interested in DS this summer? Nope.
In my opinion Joao Pedro and Cunha are far superior players to DS technically and would chip in more assists too. Obviously lots of interest around Cunha and Joao Pedro is only early 20s think he’ll get a big move soon.
Nunez scares CB’s more than DS does, yes he’s very erratic and lacks composure but he has exceptional physical attributes. DS is decent all round with a high work rate, not technically great.
Just doesn’t do it for me, especially with the stupid money we forked out. Prime example of English tax on players.

Nunez doesn't scare anyone and cost more, Rasmus Højlund cost more, Gianluca Scamacca wasn't miles away
Cunha isn’t a CF. Joao Pedro isn’t technically superior in any way. Solanke is twice the player in terms of hold up, link up and pressing. I’d take Solanke as a finisher over Pedro as well.
Darwin Nunez? Bro come on now… you are entitled to your opinion but I think it’s a crazy one. Darwin will be in Saudi Arabia next season most likely.
Cunha is a CF, he’s versatile and can play other positions as well. Is Watkins not a CF because he can play wide too? A CF doesn’t have to be a traditional big man who only plays one position.
Joao Pedro is light years ahead of DS technically and is better at linking up he’s a much better “footballer”. Solanke is stronger and better up at hold up and pressing. I’d take JP over dom every day of the week tbh.
Why does it matter where Nunez will end up? Duran has gone there and could do things DS could only dream of on a football pitch. You’re massively biased towards Solanke because he plays for us. Like I said before, if he was still at Bournemouth you wouldn’t be putting him on such a high pedestal.
Solanke is better all round CF than Duran as well.
