Save him for Everton then, has to start.

May not need a win against Everton.

Any more than 30mins in the next game and he'll likely break... In fact I wouldn't put it past the cunt chavs to set out to re-injur him.
The club know how fit he is, we have 2 critical games left. He isn’t getting called up for the World Cup and has been on the bench for 3 weeks now. I reckon if you’d ask him he’d be desperate to play the full 90 in both (if required). He shouldn't start right now anyways- not until he puts in a few game 30m or more...

He wasn’t the fittest before the injury, but start and get subbed off when he’s emptied the tank. We don’t have any creativity in midfield at all with Simons injured. He’s desperately required and I think he’d push himself to get us over the line.
sacrifices must be made to the football gods
half our squad would get injured in itWouldn’t be surprised if club try to arrange a behind closed doors friendly this week to try and get him some minutes
It was noticeable, to me at least, that our players were just giving him the ball hoping he would do something and he did make a difference. He looked technically great but a little slower than I remember him. Maybe not a starter against Chelsea but definitively someone we can bring on.
Of course don’t want him breaking down when starting but he’s been on the bench for that long. We’re in dire straights. I guarantee if you asked him personally he could’ve made a contribution from the start since being passed fit to be back in the matchday squad.Yes..... And chose not to give him a single minute before tonight; despite making multiple appearances on the bench.
He's worth more to us an impact sub for 2 games (against tiring legs) than he is one heroic token effort before breaking down in the 1st half vs the chavs.
Can't we just sacrifice Lange?
Of all our players, I think Maddison is probably the one that could most get away with losing a yard, thankfully. Pace is important of course but it's not a vital part of his game.It was noticeable, to me at least, that our players were just giving him the ball hoping he would do something and he did make a difference. not sure the football gods will want Lange
He’s never been quick. Similar to Rafa VdV, superb technical ability and very quick football brain. Exactly what we needed tonight and normally at least one player on the pitch in that mould. Having our 3 grafters in midfield and 3 up top tonight can work away from home against a better team. Not tonight when the opposition is sat in waiting for us to hit hopefull, loopy crosses into their 5 giant defensive players. It was noticeable, to me at least, that our players were just giving him the ball hoping he would do something and he did make a difference. It wasn't a pen, not conclusive enough.
Bit weird it didn't go to VAR though when you couldn't really see if their defender got the ball whilst their pen wasn't really that conclusive either.
Anyway good to see him back, hopefully he plays more mins going forward.
