Technically looked good in pre season but did look like he physically needed to up his level. Perfect loan for him, sometimes a loan to the lower league to have the shit kicked out of you is the way to grow like Kane did.

Often forgotten, but Jamie Donley made a few cameo appearances last season, even coming on in a DM type role where he had to deal with Haaland... and did surprisingky well at putting off the striker

Watching him play for the u23s he seemed several levels above Dorrington, so wasn’t too surprised to see him get a loan this season. And tbh I thought Ange would have trusted him with more minutes last season.
But if he’s only just starting to find his feet in men’s football at that level it should be a warning to those wanting Dorrington to jump into the first team for Spurs.

For another club
Did good in pre season but I do feel he looked maybe a bit physically short of where he needed to be for us. He is technically a good player and normally once you adapt to men’s football have skill enables you to progress. I think this loan will do him the world of good.
Would probably say Dorrington has always been physically ahead of Donley but been quite unlucky with a couple of long periods out injured recently. Dorrington would have likely also gone out on loan too had it not been for having surgery in the summer.
He was running games at u23 where as Dorrington was still struggling to contain players at that level.
Not seen him play this season though. So maybe he’s come on leaps and bounds.
He’s definitely a bit of a unit but the ability to read the game and see danger before it happens is what age and experience gives you. When I watched him he was getting out positioned by relatively inexperienced players.
Seeing it with gray at the moment. That defensive awareness that isn’t there yet.
