Watching him play for the u23s he seemed several levels above Dorrington, so wasn’t too surprised to see him get a loan this season. And tbh I thought Ange would have trusted him with more minutes last season.
But if he’s only just starting to find his feet in men’s football at that level it should be a warning to those wanting Dorrington to jump into the first team for Spurs.
Would probably say Dorrington has always been physically ahead of Donley but been quite unlucky with a couple of long periods out injured recently. Did good in pre season but I do feel he looked maybe a bit physically short of where he needed to be for us. He is technically a good player and normally once you adapt to men’s football have skill enables you to progress. I think this loan will do him the world of good.
