For some the desire to support the owners is greater than the desire to support the football team.
You don't support Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. You support a bunch of players who do not currently, never have, and most likely never will play for Tottenham Hotspur Football club. And you will continue moaning on because none of the players you actually like play for the club you claim to like because the chairman you hate doesn't throw around petro dollars like a 13 year old that's just unboxed FM for the first time.

I always find it funny that when we're winning it's all "We're fucking brilliant. No stadium. No signings. Yet in the top 3. Breaking records. Long may it continue" and then suddenly a loss when we are without 11 first team players and it's "We're pretty shit. Zero depth. Out of two competitions. No signings. Should we blame Poch? We'll be lucky to finish top 4".

Crazy.

I wonder what will happen if we beat Watford, STAY 4 points clear of Chelsea. STAY 7 points clear of Woolwich and Man Utd, stay in the top 3 and continue our record breaking Premier League season.

Are Liverpool fans like that? We give them a lot of stick for their ridiculous views but they tend to fucking love their team unconditionally. Maybe that's where we're going wrong as fans? We're fucking doubting our team to finish in the top 4 despite being more than fucking good enough. Liverpool fans pretty much think they've won the fucking league. Just like the support they gave their team throughout their whole Champions League campaign last season.

This place after a bad run is really no different to AFTV and you see what effect that can have on their own players. I know our own players aren't on this forum but Twitter is worse and you just know the players see that shit on there. As well as a potential toxic atmosphere at Wembley.

Maybe.... just maybe that rubs off on the players?

Can you get your nose any deeper in his arse hole?
Feels nice to be honest, don't knock it till you've tried it.

Oh, I was forgetting, you have. Frequently

OK, you're a footballer with no ties to both and both Liverpool & Tottenham come in for you, same money, same amount of likeability for the managers etc etc, 9 times out of 10 who would a footballer with no bias choose if on paper everything matches up financially, all the other stuff that goes along with it?

As for the wage structure, we are building a poxy stadium I honestly cannot believe how many fully grown adults don't get the concept of its cost. We've never spent big on wages because we haven't got the revenue streams other teams we compete with have. It goes hand in hand unless you want the club to act recklessly. Shirt sales, commercial exposure, all the other stuff that goes along with it surpasses us AND we have to find £1bn from somewhere to pay for a new ground.

I really do think a lot of our fans expect far too much too soon from our football club. Four years ago when Pochettino took over anyone that wouldn't have snapped your hand off at 3 Chanpions Leagues in a row, a fourth on the horizon, a cup final, 4 semi finals against Sheffield United, Chelsea twice and Manchester United would have been absolutely insane not to take that all the way to the bank.

We can't pay the wages teams richer than us can, even without the stadium to pay off so why do people expect it to be any different in the midst of committing the largest debt not only in our history but world football at present? Madness
Very good post sir.

I hope that hercules cunt is getting pelters.
Making up stuff about Rabiot and his mum being difficult to deal with (which seems to be common knowledge from a quick browse of google) whilst all the time they are actually grieving the recent deaths of 2 close family members & probably football contracts aren’t a priority right at this moment - he’s still contracted to PSG.
What. A. Shitcunt.

The hardest part of Pochettino's reign so far comes in the summer.

New stadium and his third chapter with the club. If he doesn't lose a few in the next few days, he WILL lose at least 6 players guaranteed in the summer.

Not only is the summer a HUGE re-building process in Pochettino building his THIRD team in 6 seasons, but ultimately he needs to get that right. I'm confident he will.

I think he needs to be brave though in the summer and get rid of:

Vorm, Trippier, Aurier, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Nkoudou, Llorente, Janssen.

As guaranteed sales. I'd love to remove Toby from that list and he stays another year (and he potentially leaves on a free), but I think we'll move on. That gets a lot of wages and a lot of deadwood off of our list.

Leaves us with a 17 man squad.
