Gedson on an 18 month loan is a bit of a masterstroke even I fully it doesn't really work out as it helps us plug money into other much needed areas. £3.5m for 18 months and then something like £35m looks like really smart business to me at a time where rebuilding is required.

A friend who handles some of the legal side of player contracts believes it will not be too long until all players are owned by either 3rd party holding companies or just the 'big clubs'. Players would then be 'rented' by clubs on fixed term contracts with agreed exit clauses.
This would prevent clubs being saddled with the debt of long contracts and allow smaller clubs to sign better players for short periods to allow them to compete. Right now, at 30m+ for average players how can any team expect to compete with city's billion pound squad.

“Rumour” has it Inter have offered 8.5m for Eriksen, the same “rumour” says we want 17m or no deal....
Ok, so is Eriksen worth more than 8.5m? Of course he is, but come the summer he walks for free, in fact we will have paid him around 2 million or so by that time on wages alone.
Great if Levy can squeeze 17m out of them and I’d be the first to acknowledge it by saying “well played son” ........ but for the love of god if he can’t get 17m then just get what you can and move the fuck on, he is doing absolutely nothing positive for us right now bar making up numbers.....that’s a lot of millions that could be the difference in getting Fernandes and not getting Fernandes

I watched today’s match on ESPN+ in Spanish. You would not believe (or maybe you would) how many negative things they said about CE. Basically said that he isn’t trying and his execution is far beneath the club. One of them basically said he was embarrassed for CE.
