We're not going to qualify for the CL, so even less money to spend than normal. It's going to be a summer of loan signings and haggling over 3 million fees.

Post Poch exhaustion, been on about it happening for 4 years personally...

You can't run them into the ground day after day, week after week, month after month, season after season...

It is quite clear and obvious to me, Poch trained the zest out of them.

If I was Mourinho I'd put them on 3 day weeks, training wise, with little (to no) running in any fatigue forming sense.

Epsom salts & Hydrogen Peroxide baths. Magnesium topicals, high Calcium supplimentation, high MSM, high Silica, Chi Machine (or the like), apply strict Alkaline diet principles, High Flax to oxygenate their bodies... get that fatigue out of their muscles and lymph. Get them training inside and add plenty of extra oxygen to the environment (gazillion plants would help).

Started a thread on this on SC after the second season collapse (in vitality terms), Bielsa teams all do the same "we suffer in training so we don't suffer in the game", yeah OK brains...

Pretty much they had an identical opinion, which I took as a good sign, he's a shuffler meaning he gets the ball passes it a short distance and makes himself available, he does that all over the pitch and will create chances in the final third as well as make tackles in defence, but he's not in anyway spectacular. Just very reliable. Both were very surprised Inter would let him go, very surprised. Worth noting he's a guaranteed starter for Uruguay in the last three years.

Now whilst I'm not in the Blakey camp on Sissoko, and think Dier and Winks are better than a lot of people on here give them credit for I can see the appeal of Vecino, where our midfield tends to go missing Vecino is the bloke who always gets in the way, he's even called "il blocco" not sure if that's in praise or taking the piss.

People moan about our lack of this type of player then complain that he's "to shit" when a non superstar name gets mentioned. He might not be a Kante or a Kroos but he's not 100m either. All squads need hard working but slightly invisible squad players, Vecino might be OK for doing just that.

Could we do better? of course we could but that doesn't mean Vecino wouldn't add strength to our squad.

Forgive me, captain blowhard, but Isn’t that just what the rest of us blowhards who have watched him actually said?

He’d be a bit of an upgrade on Sissoko and Dier but we are at the stage where we need more than a bandaid if we are to get back to being a serious contender again, we need a fucking organ transplant.

Winks is a shuffler, he can (and in fact does) shuffle for England. Skipp could shuffle for fuck all fee and about 200 quid a week in wages.

If it’s Vecino or Sissoko/Dier I’ll reluctantly take it, but what this team desperately needs, especially if it’s going to be “good” again, and especially if it is using up a vital non HG place, is a really decent quality 6/CDM who can also play a bit of football, one who isn’t going to be 30 with two years left on his contract in two years time and impossible to shift.

It's extremely tiresome having the same old conversations with the same old posters exhibiting the same old refusal to accept certain realities... Especially when they are as conceited, slimey and worm-like as the likes of you and Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive . It shouldn't take a genius to work out why people have no diplomacy to spare for you.
