A couple more goals today for Morelos for The Artist Formerly Known As Rangers. Not against us getting him in to cover Kane when he gets the sniffles again.

We’ve the World Cup winning goalie out with injury and just seen a world class performance from his replacement.

So let’s sign a goalie.

Awesome.

He’s playing reasonably well. And had a stonker at Anfield. Hasn’t kept a clean sheet in the league, though.

We will need to replace Lloris. Unless we just keep Vorm around and humour Whiteman.

Still to score in a meaningful match for Rangers and with a catalog of fantastic misses. Not ready for the big time.
Don’t agree with your first point, as he has scored in meaningful matches. You may be right that he misses a lot and you may also be right that he’s not ready for the big time.

But, I’m pretty sure he’ll be another we could’ve signed for relative buttons, before then going on to sign a couple of years later for three times the money. Players from Scotland are never “ready for the big time”, before many of them prove that to be not true.

Plus, the big time for us is being signed as Kane’s understudy and having about as much chance of playing as I have. Not sure we are going to persuade someone like Lewandowski to take that on.

In 2 seasons, how many goals against Celtic, the one, and only opposition Rangers have in Scotland?

Including missing an empty goal from 2 yards out in a game poised at 2-2 with Celtic down to 10.

Stick with Parrot and develop him correctly.

On the topic of Rangers I do think that Tavernier could be a decent get
Can't defend. The amount of goals they have conceded this season down to Tavernier errors.

If we're looking to Scotland, it should either be for talent below the age of 20. Very, very few make the step from SPFL to Premier League. Those that do normally bed in at lower levels first.

I’ve no idea, I’m not his agent or his stat compiler. I do know that Celtic aren’t their only opposition though. There’s a lot of easy games in Scotland but more than four hard ones a season. He’s just scored two in a cup semi, scored loads in the Europa this season. But he’s not for you, that’s fine. I just feel he’s going to be the next “he plays in scotland, so he’s shite” example that we’ve recently seen with Dembele, VVD, Wanyama, McGinn, Tierney, Robertson.

VVD started off in England in a lower team, likewise Robertson, Wanyama and McGinn.

Tierney is unproven at EPL level, already he looks at best average.

Here's a thought for you on Scottish football.

Outside of Rangers and Celtic, how many £1million+ transfers have there been?

And how did Alan Hutton get on?

In Jan we need a CDM who can pass to replace Sissoko, a RB to replace Serge, and a CAM to replace Eriksen who needs to fuck off. Then summer after we need two new CBs it would seem and a new LB.

Preferred options for me are Berge for CDM, Max Aaron's for RB raw and looks shaky at the back but looks good going forward. Fernandes for CAM and fuck knows for the other defenders.

We have 2 of those already.

Exactly my point. We could sign the raw material now, or spend three or four times as much signing the finished article a couple of years later.

I think Tierney has looked good so far, though to say because he’s now on the dark side, but he’s still performed well.

It would be strange in the extreme to assume all transfers from Scotland will work, you are correct. We should stick to signing players from the big leagues. Every signing that teams make from Spain, Italy and Germany work out brilliantly. Don’t they?

Walker-Peters hasn't been able to make the RB place his considering how bad Aurier has been. Poch doesn't believe he's good enough, he's played Sanchez and Foyth out of position there before KWP. It just shows how far KWP has to go to become selected. We desperately need a RB at this point.
