It took us into the 3rd season to look our best. How do we look right now? Is this how you expect us to look next season? How about the season after? Poch never took a season to play a player of quality ie Sonny, Davies, Sanchez, etc. Often if they were brought in late and missed preseason the really wouldn't feature until November-ish but your characterization if BS.

Keane was a brilliant player, but the speed and technical level of the game has gone up a notch from when he played. His stamina and positional flexibility wouldn't stand out today the way it did then. Fernandinho is probably a good comparison for what Keane would be like in today's football.
The thing modern football is lacking today are the win-every-challenge tackling CB's of yore. The unicorn player today would be someone who can tackle like Nemanja Vidic and also play with the ball at his feet like Toby or Aymeric Laporte or whoever.

Yes, I think they are two different things and I believe you do as well if you weren't called up on it and now playing silly buggers. Players can still be good but playing it safe ie bedded in before they really understand and feel comfortable to take risks, demand the ball, feel entitled to step on a few toes ie real quality. It's the same in every walk of fucking life Sammy.
Modric took deep into his second season to show his real quality, Neymar took into his second Barca season to show his real quality and not step on other's toes, etc etc. It takes times Sammy and only a moron wouldn't understand it and the difference between fitting in (bedding in) and standing out (real quality). But I do know that willful ignorance is your thing. It's just not a good look.
