I haven’t said one person said the whole lot.
PEOPLE have claimed he’s working miracles.
You are one of them.

Some have said he’s been shat on, John Thomas is one of them.

Some have said repeatedly this squad has been neglected.

Some have said our back up is shit

Some have said the squad needs replacing
These are indisputable facts so please don’t try and pretend you haven’t heard it.

THEREFORE, you’re comment that nobody has said Poch has been carrying this squad, is just incorrect.

Im not interest in drawn out nonsense based on semantics where you say “buy you put all the quotes in the same set of speech marks so are you saying that one person said it all and show me the quote

Bore off
But that's exactly what you did.

“I know there have been discussions with the player, not with us as a club”
“I am not particularly focused on Liverpool. But it is true that there have been discussions with agents.”
Lille President on Pepe (what does he know)

But Klopp didn’t want him eh

So predictably you have no answer
I had an answer.

I know Klopp wanted Pepe from the exact same sources that you use to gauge what’s going on at Spurs.
So you don't know then? Precisely as I thought. Did I say at any point that I knew Poch wanted these players? Nope, maybe not at the time but then that bolsters my point. And my number were derived from the transfer fees/release clauses and not from your nether regions like your knowledge of what is going on inside Klopp's head.

If you want direct quotes, then find one from Poch that says he wasn’t backed.
That would be completely foolish since this was not my assertion. Sammy Strawman #2! Do you expect people running around trying to prove whatever mindspunk flies out of your head? And when they decline because it's ridiculous you claim victory? FFS Sammy where did you learn your rhetorical skills?

I can find plenty from him saying he didn’t want players that wouldn’t improve us, and the club tried its hardest though.
Those are vague Sammy. And what else is he s'pose to say "Uhhhh, DL is lazy git and didn't get off his ass fast enough to get things done?'.

C'mon Sammy you can do better. This is starting to feel like the ground and pound from the other night.:allitongue:

How many fucking random Portuguese players are we linked with in a TW Sammy? That's agent talk. What about Aulas trying to get a bidding war going on for Ndombele last summer? He was chatting shit about Juve, Roma, etc etc etc. It's all shit. You don't KNOW unless you hear it first hand from Klopp's mouth (or some other verifiable 1st hand source like official docs etc). Everything else is fucking hearsay my man.

I posted quotes from the Lille president confirming talks with the player and Liverpool.

You can deduct from that Klopp didn’t want him if you want.
Our biggest transfer target of 2018 was Grealish. Most of you were relieved when we didn’t get him and slated the chairman and claimed it was a budget target over Pochs head.

Then moaned we didn’t cough up 40M

I don’t know what that means

So I can find quotes to back my views but it means nothing and its only “what else could he say?”

But you can’t find any to back you so, me asking for them is “strawman”...

And what else could he say?
He’s had no problem saying whatever comes into his head the last year has he, so why should it be any different?

Just here say so your view he wasn’t backed means fuck all, by your own standard.

Apparently Klopp was not backed when Pepe was not signed.

We were linked with Fernando, Berkly, Grealish, Dybala, Morata, Atal, Sess (for over a season then signed) and many more, the manager himself Poch the man asked for signings publicly in the media over and over. How many times Poch was not backed!

That bit of hearsay does not say what you think it says. And as if no chairman has lied. He goes on to say agent. There is no direct quote from him that Liverpool have been talking to the player which would be against UEFA rules without getting permission from Lillle which he explicitly says "not us as a club". FFS you're embarrassing yourself. Tap out before it gets worse.

So I can find quotes to back my views but it means nothing and its only “what else could he say?”
He said his boss was working hard. Big shit. That doesn't support your points. And again, what else would a subordinate say?

You don’t KNOW Poch wanted any players in 2018 though.
I don't but that only comes as a surprise to you apparently. What I do know is that no other team in the history of the PL era has gone without a xfer in the summer. That was the record right? There you go.

Just here say so your view he wasn’t backed means fuck all, by your own standard.
Show me where I said he wasn't backed? I'll wait. I don't KNOW what the circumstances and goings-on were. What I do KNOW is there were no transfers and that was detrimental. Klopp got transfers and got big ears and a new fat Nike contract. We got diddly squat.

Poch did get over £140m of players coming in this summer though. Not being funny but I'm pretty sure every manager in the history of the game has been blocked with a signing now and then.

Dybala we bid for, couldn't get it over the line because of ownership issues which is fair enough, Sessegnon we ended up getting for half of what was being quoted a year earlier which just makes business sense in my opinion, Fernandes? Well we ended up getting 2x £50m plus players this summer I don't know if we are being realistic expecting more than that in a summer.

Morata didn't want to be 2nd fiddle to Kane, Grealish it was just hugely unfortunate that a very rare thing happened to Villa when they needed to sell. They won the lottery at a time when they were on their knees financially I don't think Poch hasn't had it that hard based on what our circumstances are in all honesty. How many players did Arsene Wenger have to sell whilst paying off their stadium?

Here for one
We got diddly squat.

You have saying it’s obvious that Poch wanted players.
You are saying we got diddly squat.

Yet you are trying to deny saying he wasn’t backed?
How does that work?

Victory at Anfield on Sunday, in Tottenham’s first meeting with Liverpool since their defeat in the Champions League final, would improve the chances of a positive denouement. The form books might suggest that is an improbable outcome, and Spurs have not won in the past nine iterations of this fixture, but Pochettino believes his embattled squad remains a match for Jürgen Klopp’s side.

“Of course, because I love my players and believe we have an unbelievable squad with unbelievable players,” he said. “When we are at our best we can beat any team.”

Can’t recall Poch giving any interviews asking for signings. Any chance of a link please?

Sammy , you literally spend your whole existence on here dissecting people’s views and opinions, then trying your best at making an argument out of it. Honestly what is the point of you being on here ? You have got some sort of personality disorder and express such strange behaviour

We didn't spend £140m this summer. Locelso is on loan. Levy has net spend spreadsheet in his office trophy cabinet and back up copy in his bedroom. He sold number of players to maintain £40m or so net spend this summer.
2018/19 £0 spent, -£10 minus net spend.

Fulham and Villa wanted around £30m for Sess and Grealish summer 2018, Levy offered much less as per usual and was no deal, Grealish is very good player in a poor Villa team and Sess was signed a season late for £30m and injured. What sort a chairman would do such poor deals! To add, NJK, Njie, Vincent.... all sold for loss
Grealish wanted the move at the time but dl's offer was a disgrace, app £15m v £30m. There could have been a deal for aroudn £25m and we would have had a decent player in our starting XI, And no need to break transfer record on Ndonmbele and would have spent the £60 or even less on a decent centre half or a RB which we are desperate for.

It's naive to blame the stadium. Look at the profit for previous seasons and the money in the PL nowadays which is much more when woolwich built their stadium plus they already had decent squad winning trophies that managed a season or two without signings.
