Skipp is obviously is the most talented and has the higher potential of the bunch, but all the others were older and further on, and I think could have done that more one dimensional job that we are lacking so badly of just being a Wanyama type of busy cunt, allowing others to play.
And none of them are more limited technically than Sissoko or Dier are - as midfielders.
Skipp is more physically and mentally developed than other players of his age, and no reason why he shouldn't be playing in maybe a third or half our matches this season - next season he'd be capable of tackling the majority of matches, but I think it better to ramp up the number of matches he plays as he's only just 19.
Not sure id agree that marsh who is older would be better. The more viable candidate would have been Amos but Poch decided to loan him to a Championship to get experience after his injury hit last season. Nothing wrong with that decision if it was intended to use this season to further develop Skipp whilst Amos got minutes elsewhere.
If we had a development plan for 18 to 21 year olds we'd be looking to blend in to the squad 18 year old DM's White and Bowden ( both in last preseason squad)either later this season with maybe half a dozen appearances or more likely next season off the back of preseason 2020. But that will require a change of strategy to be implemented.
