The former. Walsh was canned by Everton on May 16 2018. Richarlison joined in July 2018.
The guy who signed Richarlison, Digne and Kean is Marcel Brands. A highly rated Dutch technical director. Spent 8 years at PSV before joining Everton and also worked for AZ Alkmaar previously.

I don’t want him, but Bale in this side would be interesting. With Jose’s physical long ball tactics, Bale could find himself in a lot of acreage.

To be fair I reckon I think that’s more luck on them having played against Salzburg twice already this season and realizing he looks a talent, rather than them unearthing a gem from nowhere .
But I do agree on the overall point on our scouting system , Still haven’t gotten over us fucking about trying to sign Grealish for 30 mill, when we could of just picked up the better player in Maddison for 20 earlier in the window. Or passing up on Parreira in favour of Aurier

It’s really not. Liverpool have one of the best recruitment set ups in football, and to compound that, they frequently recruit from one of the other best recruitment set ups in Rangnick/RB group (Firmino, Mane, Matip, Keita).

If we are losing out to teams like Everton, Leicester, West Ham etc then fair enough but to lose out to a Liverpool team under Klopp I don't think we can have have many complaints.
There's also hundreds of other professional teams not getting this guy so does that make them just as bad as us or does it come down to one play, he can only join one club etc. I do think we need to be more biting with our transfer policies though.

He’s very good - he would have been the perfect signing for Levy. Highly talented and very cheap. Can dribble, assist and score and presses well as well. The Japanese Emile Heskey if you will.
On a serious note, the guy is class - bit gutted he’s going to Liverpool.
I would've liked to have seen him with us. For a pittance too. It feels like we're missing good deals because we're being so stingy and conservative in recruitment in recent years. That just means we have to splurge unnecessarily when we do look.
