Sorry to be pernickity, but are we that anymore?

Foyth, Skipp, Whiteman, Tanganga all could have played or played much more.

How many U23s are regular first team starters?

I'd say we are yes. Rose, Davies, Sanchez, Dier, Winks, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela, Kane etc all signed for the club aged 23 or under. We definitely aren't afraid of getting younger players in and giving them the opportunity o prove themselves. Not really sure we can class Whiteman and Tanganga in the group you've specified, we hardly know anything about them and their qualities at this level. The people on the training ground will be making judgement calls on them etc but we definitely look to give younger players a good platform to build on for sure.

We hardly know anything about Whiteman because we shit the bed when Lloris forgot to use his feet and felt we had to sign a goalkeeper we already decided we didn't want.

Anything we've seen of Tanganga has been positive, but we don't know much because he's never had the chance. Jose pissed away a golden opportunity against Bayern in a match that counted for fuck all.

Skipp hasn't looked out of place in the EPL when he makes an appearance, by hey, Jose will go for anyone but him.

You show examples of players signed at 23 or under, how many of them played in our first team on a regular basis at 19? Or do players at Spurs take longer to develop than at other teams?

It is moot, but it shows we were more interested in bringing back an old goalkeeper we didn't want than trust a young goalkeeper.

Imagine if Juve or Schalke had reacted like that, Buffon and Neuer would never have made it.

Juve paid a record fee for Buffon.

....Relax were talking 3rd keeper. Ask Gaz how much gametime they can expect

My original message that you responded to specified players u23, that's what you replied to and specified in your response also mate. Skipp looks like a really good prospect but he's still a kid and could do with a loan, the same with Tanganga.

Going out of the Carabao Cup early this year has probably hindered our opportunities to blood them a bit more but let's be honest, before pre-season nobody was talking about Tanganga being the future. If we were a team like Newcastle, West Ham etc it's far easier to blood young players than when every point matters based on 4th and 5th place. Personally I think we give plenty of opportunity to players 23 or under to stamp their own authority on a place, it's down to them to take it. You've mentioned about what 19 year olds we give opportunities to, are there many other teams in the top half that give 19 year olds opportunities a plenty at this level whilst keeping a level of quality that keeps them competitive? Curious to know.
