Very few German players leave to play outside their country.

And inside Germany Bayern Munich is regarded as the pinnacle of most players ambitions.

Shame that Nubel is set on Bayern but unless we can dissuade him, time to move on
Schalke ITK and journos are saying that he is either going to Leipzig or to London.

Bild connects every young German with Bayern and they don't need 4 top keepers.

I hope we sell:

Aurier (dumb, and can't defend)

Dier (slow in everything he does. He may not be good enough for any top half Prem team to be honest. Poch could see it why can't Jose?)

Eriksen - forget the poor form, he is our set piece taker and cannot get it past the first man and never scores a direct free kick.

Rose - Was once great, but is past it and we need fresh faces at the club.

Dele - If the right offer came in I would sell him. As good as he can be, he is more often than not inefective and with the fee we could get someone more consistent in. I know some will disagree with this one on the basis of his obvious talent and occational brilliance, but as I say I would sell him for the right fee because there are other talented players out there if you can pay. I would only sell for a fair price, else I'd keep him I suppose.

Gazza - I have always felt Poch signed him because of his links to him rather than him being a good enough keeper to play back up. Surely we can do better.

Wanyama - No legs left.

That's seven and it doesn't seem enough to be honest. I feel like the club has an infection and the pus needs lycing. Maybe more would need to be culled to change things.

I’d hold onto Dele but would agree wholeheartedly with you on the other six.

You'd sell them all in January?

As soon as possible which in some cases means bringing in replacements obviously, so it’s tough in January but we badly need a refresh. It’s as much about getting rid if some faces as it is about getting new ones in.
I agree we need to sell but getting rid of 7 at once is too much mid-season. We'd never be able to get so many replacements of the quality needed in January.

Also we shouldn't be selling Alli, at all.

IF, big if Nubel goes to Bayern, go for Fruchtl from Bayern. However, it appears a contract extension for Neuer is on the table and i can't see Nubel waiting for Neuer to go.

Even when we do sign players we barely give them a game. Sessegnon, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Jack Clarke last summer and between the four of them, they’ve barely got a minute.

Fuck it.... Let's not bother at all then.

Play the current crop until they cannot walk any longer and then close the club in about a decade.

In the case of Eriksen & Rose I'd agree whole-heartedly... We seemingly can't move forward for the tendency to look back.

At 2-0 down, 10 men and little to lose; we could (should) have brought GLC & Sessengon on today.

Aurier & Dier subject to suitable upgrades and of course Wanyama asap cos he makes GKN look useful at this point.

EDIT: So, in theory 5 out, 2 in could actually help us a great deal this January.

It’s really not. Liverpool have one of the best recruitment set ups in football, and to compound that, they frequently recruit from one of the other best recruitment set ups in Rangnick/RB group (Firmino, Mane, Matip, Keita).
They didn't but they do now. They must have very smart decision makers in those executive positions. And they're doing this all while retaining/extending their manager and building/funding 2 new stands. Amazing to think you can have sporting success and financial success if you put them in the right order.

And Matip isn't an RB product. He's a Schalke academy that Liverpool picked up on a free which is apparently de riguer when leaving Schalke. He played under Rangnick briefly but not enough to credit him with anything.

And give it up BC. DL will never relinquish the control necessary to accommodate Rangnick. Though he should consider it.
