I was getting all my info from SC so I will probably not be of use on the particulars. But I felt it was scandalous not to take a punt back then for 5M. I think we got Janssen that summer instead. And now we're going to spend at least 40M for his services now. That is if this is to be believed. Wonder if DL calculates the opportunity costs of these fuckups when he's haggling for 1 more million off random player X and wasting a whole preseason.

Looks like Piatek is done, good option and I like the 3.5 year contract because it gives us a chance to get rid of him if he flops or Parrott surpasses him.

I've never seen this Piatek guy play but he's young and his goal scoring record is pretty impressive. Just seen some really nice goals on youtube too. Pretty excited if we're actually signing him tbh for that price

Let's be honest, if we are able to get Piatek in it looks like an excellent addition the day we hear of Kane out for a hefty period. If we do that's the kind of depth a team like Tottenham requires. Let's see how it pans out

Any January signing gets a .5 added to their deal. Otherwise the deal would expire in mid season.

I swear there's something horribly ironic about the way we're run: Kane's bad injury being the thing to (seemingly) finally get a proper backup striker...

And, of course, one might make the argument that doing this years ago would have helped keep Harry more injury free.
