I flew in brother and went with my cousin from Crouch End . Had to buy off touts and ended up in the Arse end . Had to be evacuated by stewards after the 2nd goal because we couldn't control it .
Moved to our end but had to stand in aisle .
Gazza free kick , stopping their double.
Donkey Adams in tears being taunted in the end.
Then watched the final victory back in Yukon.

I remember as a cocky 14 year old singing "wheeeeeeeres your double gone, wheres your double gone?"

so it's not always about big glory but these little glimpses, the memory makers...

Amazingly our transfer activity has actually got worse with our sccess, if you want to call it that....we were bad before but the club is taking to a new level now
Well our priority became keeping the best players. We had a lot of them, and only sold Walker in his prime.

People this very summer went full turbo backing Poch when he said keeping Eriksen was our summer priority.
They got what they wanted.....because Poch is always right to them.

But suddenly now the club fucked us by not selling him two years ago under Pochs feet.

We have (wisely) tended to avoid January TW's so pretty much all signings this TW will be mofre than usual.

Last summer we broke our transfer record to bring in Ndombele, who most rated as the most exciting CM in europe after buying Lo Celso (who if you agree that the loan deal structure was to allow Betis to minimise payments to PSG - and that given transfers are usually paid over the contract length our payments were little different to a straight forward purchase) who also broke our transfer record.

Certainly argue they were the wrong purchases, but with Sessegnon most supporters at end of TW thought it was our best in years.

Hindsight says we needed more players in and out but with a net spend of over £100m already, not too many other clubs would be expected to spend much more in a single TW.

Our current problems asre the accumulation of the previous 5 TW's when the person in charge of buying new players (Poch) didn't bring in many players to enhance the first team and didn't bring through players from Spurs Academy either.

Heard we were linked with Slimani, I took the piss out of my work colleague for having him in his dream team 2 seasons ago......

:roseunsure::moursad::paulinhobored:
Compared to two years ago he is at least part of one of Europe's most effective striker duos now.

But this rumor is probably just agent talk. The new Monaco coach has made it clear that he doesn't want to play with the Big man/little man duo so they are looking to get Slimani out of Monaco.

Well our priority became keeping the best players.

We do forget this. I remember Jose calling it out on Sky a couple of years back - that the most impressive thing about Spurs was how they held on to their players.

Alas, that's come to an end. We need to refresh.

I have absolutely no problem with is passing on big money transfers. But I do want to see a strategy - of plucking the best talent from across Europe and developing it. And if it's not working, sell quickly. So, in the Summer, if Soumare is out of our price range, then lets make sure our scouts have worked out who the best Six is in our price range.

Let's champion youth again.

If I could realistically see us sign 3 players based on what our needs are right now I think I'd opt for Semedo at RB, Upamecano or Dias at CB and Camavinga at DM.

We've got a short term urgent need for a FWD absolutely but I don't think Parrott is that far away from stepping up and I don't really want to see us spend silly bollocks money on someone who realistically won't be ousting an on song Kane. Cavani on a 1.5 year deal and letting Parrott join a Championship club would be a great move but ultimately if w do that I think we need to be realistic and understand that we'll have to sacrifice a signing in the RB, CB or DM areas highlighted, unless of course we bag a rough diamond out of nowhere in those positions.

It's up to the player whether he wants to go or not Mourinho still uses him.

Realistically we have signed all what we are likely to sign this window.

I wouldn't be surprised to see one new face joining us but I think over the next 7-8 months a new RB, CB & DM are vital to allow the others we have to flourish.

Sell KWP, Foyth, let Vertonghen go, Wanyama, Skipp out on loan, the same with Parrott, Danny Rose to whoever will take him and free up as much money as we can to stack 3-4 positions with much needed heavyweight class. Donnarumma wihna year left on his contract would be a dream as well but he'll end up at Juventus I fancy.

Why shouldn’t he use him. We’re paying him, and we have an injury crisis.
Should we wrap him up in cotton wool for Inters sake.

I will never promote Eriksens involvement and have been calling for him to be dropped two years before it was trendy.

2-1
They didn’t catch up.
We are shit because we have players here that shouldn’t be here, an unbalanced squad that the last manager assembled, and injuries and players lacking match fitness and two of the new signings not settling in very well

I don't disagree with the requirements we need I just struggle to see if Jose gets the backing, I fear its more of the same with him getting frustrated like poch did.
