???? Was one of Nelson or Saha free?

In fairness it would be more accurate to describe his as such rather than as a spendthrift or wastrel. We are without a second striker. How about we go with thrifty or frugal?
Both were free transfers. Saha came in on an 18 month deal. Pienar went the other way, but not sure it was connected.

Nelson had his contract cancelled and joined as a free agent the next day on a 6 month deal with a 12 month option. Was never taken up.
NELSEN!!!

A deal for this Jose bloke is supposed to be very close and he’s allegedly in London today to dot the i’s and cross the T’s.
Don’t know anything about him but at least it gives us another option, which is what we need.

New blood is definitely needed as it’s all a bit stale at the minute. A decent scrap for places is what we need and players desperate to prove what they can do..

LOL... Classic!

So after 3 pages of 'Poch has no major influence on incoming players'... (See Levy as defacto DOF conversation)

.....APART from if it comes to an outlay of 140m worth of players intended to replenish the first team and one is building a case to criticize Levy for taking a punt on a teenage prospect.

Gotcha!
You really think 140m would have be spent if the transfer committee didn't agree with those suggestions?
The previous summer he tried to get players in and he couldn't do so, so he saved that money for the next window.

Anyone who is being objective can see that Clarke is a Levy punt, just like Yedlin was a Levy punt.
There is no point in punting on young players if the manager isn't onboard.

Getting hung up on Clarke who jeopardises nothing speaks volumes.... Yedlin? Lol.... Proving my point further.

I think Mourinho is probably on 7 out of 10 thus far.

Not much you can do as a manager about injuries and still tweaking and turning here and there but I alsi thought he would have made us more solid.

On Eriksen I think he is just being pragmatic.

Hopefully better to come once he has a whole pre season.

The guy is very smart and still, along with Klopp the most savvy and interesting with the media.

That said he will have justification in kicking off if Levy does not back him with 2 signings this month, on permanent or loan deals.

We are in serious need.
7/10?!? 😱😱

5 maybe at a push, and that’s generous. defence and attack - awful. Results, awful. Performances, awful.

How you get to 7 is completely beyond me.

He needs time and players, completely agree but so far it’s been quite the shitshow.
