The classic mistake everyone is making here.... Believing press leaks and ITKs in their mums basement.

We don't know the club have talked to any of the players we are linked with. Gedson had been scouted for a while and nobody knew about this until a couple go days b4 we signed him.

This Jose fellow looks a load of crap. He won't cut the mustard in the Epl and would you really want to see his name ahead of Alli, Son or Moura - all proven EPL goal scorers.

We need to spend big on someone who will be able to play with Kane and put pressure on Son/Moura place.

Adame Traore gets my vote.

Adama... buying him in the last week of the window from Wolves, who are legitimately our rivals for a European spot would cost at least 50m. Fantasy.

They seem to think it's a done deal.

But it’s not though is it? And it’s been going for months. Our fault for asking for too much money? Inter for trying to low ball us? Eriksen for keeping his options open till the last minute? I’m sure some journo with little clue will tell us the facts soon enough. Or maybe Ricky Sacks has his ear to the ground.

Yeah, gutting that as a club we were completely unaware of this player, if we scouted better we too could be in line to sign up these complete unknowns under the radar...
Agreed. Found this guy in the French league. I know, farmers, but I think he may work out and he just turned 21.
Pick up the phone Levy! Only thing stopping it from happening, as usual.

My point is that we can’t just go out and buy everyone. This isn’t FM2020. And we can’t just pay what the other club wants. That’s not how life works.

You support Spurs for fuck sake. How have you managed to engender this attitude that we should be stacked with world class talent and winning the league every year?

What really makes you think there’s a massive bottomless pit of cash to spend and that every player would want to play for us?

I’d suggest we did scout Harland as we very likely scout every top league for talent. I imagine we were put off by the cost (not just the transfer), the fact we have Kane and the need for a release clause in his contract.
No one is asking to buy everyone but part of the problem is the no desire attitude from fan's such as yourself conditioned into thinking we don't need to spend.
This nonsense has got us to where we are now with many fans telling us we didn't need to recruit previously because who wants to play second fiddle to Kane, but what sort of big club attitude is that every club needs competition for places except us it seems.
These are the same people that want us to play parrot because it might save us a penny or two when clearly he isn't ready, unless this club starts to think and act big then we will always be second tier nobody's when you and I as fans pay top prices for an inferior product.

:mourcry:

Better to read the best of the Belgian press rather than a fanzine written by someone based in the USA who inevitably will write with their own biases

Amazing that we all read lots of stuff on twitter written by people we do not know, and believe much of it is true.

Then we wait for reality to catch up when Spurs report whether we have signed someone (and who) and its inevitably a rude awakening.

Social media giving us an expectation eh...….
