I honestly cannot believe Berge went to Sheffield with seemingly little resistance from "bigger" clubs.

I understand that a lot of clubs might not have jumped on the bandwagon regarding him, but he would have still been worth a punt. There is a possibility he might never be good enough for a top team, but in case he turns out to be the real deal, then Sheffield will demand an arm and a leg for him.

Levy is definitely playing hardball with a club or two right now. He's the master at holding out for the best deal, even at the cost of no deal as he's proven many times before.

I have a feeling Fernandes is going to settle in well at United. What might have been...
We won't pay the money for him but lo celsco is going to be great as long as the club is successful and can keep player's like that at the club

People said similar about Rabiot and yet he's got 800 league minutes all season. If they demand an arm and a leg next year then so be it but we didn't miss out on anything. There is not that much ceiling to this kids game for regret. There are too many questions on this player. Plus, if his contract is anything like was posted earlier Sheffield won't have much leverage.

I would have rather taken Bentaleb back than waste money on this tanker.

You know how we are, we'll end up not getting anything, I'm prepared already so I won't go into meltdown come tomorrow midnight. I'm pleased with our window to be honest, but the fact that we're not getting a striker leaves somewhat of a bad taste.
Kane always comes back from injury quickly. I’d not be surprised to see him back end of feb, beginning of March. If that’s possible, it seems lavish to spend £25m - £40m on a guy who’ll play for a month.

I’d rather we waited until there’s more options in the summer. Maybe a strong young prospect or a free Cavani for example.

He's been available for at least a year - and no takers from leading clubs

For whatever reason no top club raters him.

If that's the case, no point in buying him to add to the list of players we need to offload for not being good enough
Fair enough but I'm happy for him, good player in my eyes. Gave his all for Genk. Hope he continues the way of other Genk midfield graduates such as De Bruyne, Ndidi and Milinkovic-Savic.

That's the problem, he never gets back at 100% because he always rushes. I'm fully convinced that this is his last chance, one more major injury and he won't be anymore the deadly striker he once was, so I really want him to take his time this time and be prepared for the next season. Also, even if he comes back, it's criminal to expect playing him 90 minutes week in werk out.

My statement was mostly aimed towards other clubs, not necessarily from the PL. Given how much he cost, some could have afforded to buy him now in the hope that he might be a good investment. So a bit more clarity was needed I guess...

Anyway, I wasn't expecting us to get a DM this window since we're not exactly spoiled for choice now. And I'm also not expecting our next DM to be a punt.

Rather we just take a chance on Parrott and have him, son, Alli as options for point, than bring in that useless bearded bum, giroud.
