Yes. It would certainly appear that way. And for this version of Tottenham Hotspur it’s very hard to sign a striker in June / July / August too.
January has confirmed one thing to me. We are not a “big club” and all the stadiums, training grounds, balance sheet wonders and golden opportunities from success mean jack shit when you have ENIC at the helm. Still at least we have all been cunted off early and not had an 11pm Charlie Adam on our hands again.
Of course in the summer we will find it harder than ever due to our lack of Champions League, rinse and repeat.

Have seen it said quite a few times in this thread - we don't sign good strikers.
I kind of disagree - yes there have been duds but no more than any other position really..

It's also a matter of being realistic about what types of moves are traditionally made in January, couple with reasonable expectations of how we operate.
The possibility of us landing a high-quality striker option, that Levy would go for during a January window was always slim.

As reported by the evening standard those were our 4 targets going into the summer and we got all 4 of them. Surely Poch must have been ok with this and Levy delivered.

I've posted previous about Levy/Enic and stated they need to be doing much more but on this occasion they have. It's not their fault we have performed so shite.

Sheringham was top class, but that's far too long ago. Pav? Not for me thanks.
The only proper World Class striker we've had is the one better clubs than ours wanted and that was Berbatov for me.
Defoe was a great goalscorer, but not in the same bracket as Harry, Berbatov and Teddy IMO.
More misses than hits for me.
