Priority should be a Sissoko replacement, that's what keeps us away from the title at the moment. We can't keep a player on the pitch just because he cover spaces. He offer little defensively and nothing in the attack.
How is that box to box midfielder going to protect Aurier? Because if you leave him unprotected then we are going to start shipping a shitload of goals.
Only one with plenty of upside donnarummaNot January related, but IMO we should start to look for a young GK that can be our future no.1 soon. Lloris worries me with his recent form. Purchasing an established GK now can be expensive. Getting someone young with high potential and loan him (preferably to PL club for that HG status), can save us a lot of hassle down the road.

Daniel Levy negotiated a bargain Matt Doherty transfer fee for Tottenham
The deal Tottenham have done with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the Republic of Ireland right-back is an absolute bargainwww.football.london
Despite being born in Dublin, the Irishman counts as a homegrown player with both the Premier League and UEFA because he joined Wolves from Bohemians when he was just 18 and played for the Midlands club for three seasons including the season in which he turned 21, which fits in with the homegrown requirements.
Is this now the case with Sessegnon?Later retracted by FootballLondon/Alistair Gold
Jose Mourinho leaves three Tottenham stars out of Europa League squad but one gets back in - football.london
Doherty is NOT HG for EL squad - complication is probably caused by loan to Hibernian when u21 (a club NOT affiliated to The FA) and accordingly time spent there does not count to the 3 years before age of 21 to become HG for EL.
I think he's already 'done' his 3 years at Fulham and Spurs to qualify as HG for both EL and PL.

Tomorrow's headline.People are quick to judge, but have you watched any Millwall game? They are one of the worst teams to watch, Parrott barely received the ball in the attack, had do drop deep to do something. In one game he ended playing as CM and played out of position in some others. Despite that he was one of the best players for them, creating some chances by himself and setting up others. The best thing to do is send him to a team that acatually play some sort of footbal and has a tactical plan. He will come good.
I find it really frustrating that Dier, Davies and Rodon are not home based players. The devil is in the detail (or in this case Club trained and Other association trained players and then the size of the squad - which numbers 24 with one HG player short).
Currently we have :
Club Trained - 4 Kane, Bale, Winks, Whiteman,
Other Assoc Trained 3 Hart, Dele, Clarke
Overseas Trained Players (17) : Lloris, Aurier, Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon, Davies, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Lucas, Ndombele, Son, Bergwijn, Vinicius, Lamela
Under 21's who could become Club trained players include Tanganga and Skipp.
So if you want to :.
you need to sell an existing overseas trained player to be able to buy each new player. Who ?
- Buy top level center half as competitor and eventual replacement to Alderweireld
- Buy box to box midfielder to fill Sissoko’s current position, Sissoko becomes backup
- Buy starting RW, move Bergwijn to rotation option
- Bonus points: replace Doherty with young RB with potential to supplant Aurier
In practice if we want to upgrade a player such as Sissoko, Aurier etc, the answer is likely to be to sell the player being upgraded (ie sell Sissoko, Aurier etc).
Perhaps the exception maybe to sell Sanchez to bring in another CB to eventually replace Alderweireld - but given we need to sell an overseas trained player to create a space in the squad for Rodon it seems more likely that Sanchez sale will be to create the space for Rodon.
And for those wanting to sell Dele or upgrade Clarke - who are the HG players we want to buy as the pool of those is not large (although one of them might be Sessegnon if we consider him to be a good enough LB/LWB for Spurs).
And will Bale be good enough to be retained next season ? Jury out atm for me, If Bale goes we may need to keep Winks to keep our player numbers up.
We also need to bring in a goal scoring AM, as otherwise we are too reliant on Kane/Son
By no means impossible, but could be tricky to achieve in one summer.
Who do you suggest?Who's protecting all the other RB's in Europe ? Whoever it is, let's just get one of them.
Have we got the slowest RB in Europe combined with the most swashbuckling footballing philosophy?
Reguilon probably needs more arse covering than Aurier and a pretty limited player in Hojbjerg is doing it better over that side and managing to press more, tackle more play a modicum of football too.
What is this "only Sissoko can shuffle between RB and CB in a bus park" bollocks?
Here's an idea, we get a player who can run, press and play football and he'll still be able to do the 5 yard circular shuffle when we play ManC and Liverpool, but he'll also be some use the other 36 games too, unlike Sissoko.
I dont watch any Bundesliga but I know he's highly rated and if he wants to join us thats big
Seems to be one of Leipzigs leaders on the pitch too
