Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The club and the fans need to lower expectations regarding signing players.
We're not in a position financially or competitively to go and get the Diaz' of the world.
What we need is the tier below. We need decent players with GREAT attitudes, who can help push us on a bit in the short to medium term.

If we keep wasting time trying and failing to sign the likes or Diaz we're going home alone for a wank over babestation at 2am
Ok so why aren’t we signing those lower tier players then? We’ve signed fucking nobody.

So "apparently" we bid up to 50m euros on Diaz.
That didn't come off.

Bet your arse we don't spend it on other targets, so....

You know it's bad when you're gazing longingly at Burnley's imminent transfer business, Orsic and Weghorst would improve our squad, not revolutionise it, but an improvement...

Granted I'm rating Orsic solely on the fact he tore us apart last season, and that's not really saying much.

Why is January too difficult for "The Don" but not for Sean Dyche? Or do Burnley have their own "Don" that prefers to keep a low profile??

Just lock this thread and throw away the key. I don't want to read any bollocks about it being fine because woolwich and united also haven't signed anyone. That's even more reason for us to make some shrewd investments, to absolutely nail down and really make sure of top 4 while our rivals are pissing about. Instead as usual our board and ownership are just hoping we fall into the top 4 by accident.

Looking a gift horse in the mouth: it's not a strategy.

I don't think he will walk based on Jan window. If we fuck about in the summer, though, I can see him walking, no doubt.

Letting Ndombele go and replacing with Arambat (we will probably get more out of him than we have been from Ndombele).

Dele and Lo Celso going, realistically; who can replace them with this late in the window?

We probably have to assume we will be stuck with Doherty and Royal until the summer.
Thing is, we will be fucking about in the Summer. We all know that the main narrative of the Summer will be that we need to find permanent transfers for Dele, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Doherty etc and that most of the business will be done at the end of the window. Sprinkle in a bit of shit peddling about the next Luis Diaz, Martinez or Dybala, which never materializes and there you have how our Summer window will look.

When you post that nonsense you have zero credibility, if anything our squad lacks experience. Or are City, Chelsea and Liverpool with much older squads all wrong?
Wow so pointing out the truth has zero credibility? Please point me to the up and coming players under the age of 29 who could get into the Chelsea, Liverpool, Man utd, or City's first 11?

I'm failing to find any right now.

Can’t wait to see all the amazing players we’ll be able to sign in the summer without Champions League football to offer them or Antonio Conte who will 100% leave after being lied to by Levy and co.

Time to take up another hobby.

Realism is we have a elite manager but one who walks if not massively backed. That is the situation, doesn’t take Einstein to see where this is heading without a few good signings this window and another bunch in the summer.
all the clubs that "weren't backed" him won trophies and spent millions after him (juventus, chelsea, inter)
if there is a project then he should have patience and work. if good arrivals are not possible in the winter market they will be in the summer one.
to buy just to buy is the worst thing that we can do ATM: not improving the squad and wasting money

"Just get Raphinia, Levy. Show some ambition"

Has anyone got any semblance of realism here? Leeds are on 22 points. Why on earth would they sell their star player to us in January when their survival on the league, worth £100m+, could rest on him.
Honestly, some people just don't think.

I'm all for criticising our woeful transfer strategy, but when suggesting players we ought to be going for, talk some sense
