Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Aubameyang is Woolwichs joint second top scorer in all competitions this season. Frozen out or not... It leaves a bit of a hole.

True but like Ndombele he has to some degree retired. Auba is World class in talent but getting older and has poor attitude, he was never going to be Woolwich’s future. At best he could have been another body for the rest of this season.

Yeah, Ndombele forgot his luggage...

Bittersweet about Dele. Where the fuck did it all go wrong? Hope he does shit there and they get relegated. Can't bear the club. We lose 2 games and it's always a fucking crisis across every sport site going, while they lose most weeks while spending big every window and nothing is said.

Honestly think his legs are gone.

Poch ran the fuck outta him. Hamstring injuries are the silent killer.

The top 10 teams in the Premier league brought in 4 total players that will be joining the first team now. We bought in 50% of the total first team players in the top half of the Premier League.

Luis Diaz (Liverpool)
Dejan Kulusevski (Spurs)
Rodrigo Bentancur (Spurs)
Chiquinho (Wolves)

If you’re to jaded to ever see anything decent in what Spurs are doing, I’m not going to try to convince you. But at least take some small pleasure in that no one around has done anything, unless you really rate Chiquinho.
Who cares what other clubs are doing? Liverpool know what theyre doing and got their man without any circus show because they have a strategy and are a serious club. Tottenham needed to strengthen to secure top 4. January was our chance to strike early. Now the excuse will be in the summer when all of our “targets” get bought up by actual serious clubs.

Conte wanted backing. Levy failed. And the only guy that seems to be doing well out of it is the crook Paraciti and Juventus.

Because we have a better manager. And also a tougher mentality this season than them- we've won many tight games even when below par. Meanwhile Woolwich try and postpone games, lose their minds and get down to 10 men, etc. when things get tough.
We spent half the season with a shit manager. We have 2.1 PPG since Conte joined (6-3-1)... well above Woolwich's 1.71 PPG. Yes, part of that is coaching but not all. Nuno was shit.

Spurs and Woolwich have comparable squads. My opinion is that Spurs have a better current squad, but ours stars are aging and Woolwich have more young talent than we do.

What I'm absolutely sure is that Woolwich do not currently have a far superior squad.

You're whining about the lack of big name signings and shitting all over the squad when they are literally at this point massively outplaying Woolwich. I am not being a tribalist to call you out for crying like an idiot on Talksport because real life isn't FIFA and ignoring that our squad gets usually underrated by most of the footballing world.

The reality is we were playing better before these two signings, and now that we have cleared out three players who were getting no minutes, brought in two players Conte wants to play, and rest of the squad are continuing to grow into the system, then yes, I am quite optimistic. A squad committed to a plan, with people who are talented, even if not recognized, is a much better idea than a bunch of big names in FIFA who are playing to a worse collection of ideas.

No I'm not. Don't make stuff up to strawman me because you don't have any valid points. I've said I am content with this window, I have never 'shitted' over our squad (It's not terrible, I just think Woolwich have better players in many positions) and we're also not 'literally' (instead of figuratively??) massively outplaying them at all. Our squad is rated pretty fairly, as shown by our recent league finishes.

It's good to be optimistic, but your appraisal borders on delusion. We've had a good run under a top manager but still look to be deficient in certain areas, and the three games against Chelsea of late showed those deficiencies. It doesn't make you a better fan if you're just ultra optimistic about every aspect of the team, rather than accepting where we're actually at from a realistic standpoint.

People talking about Juve fans not rating these guys, we have to see what Conte can do with them....not unlike what he did with more than a few of the players we didn't rate...
He turned victor Moses in to a star. It’s about what job the new signings can do for conte. A cheap punt & promising young player on loan. Not bad but still need way more!
