There was some anorak talk of emails going to the very top at THFC

Get on it Vince

I remember the McGinn proclamations from the start, was funny ….. what’s not so funny is he’d genuinely be what we could do with in the middle the park …. I think conte would love him

As for this Patterson kid if he’s decent someone needs the tin tac …. Again!
When I hear McGinn speak, it always reminds me of McBlane from Reggie Perrin.

Managers and creative players I think mostvtry to find players who fit their desired style of play. Pep doesn’t play with WBs really but packs his team with creative yet very will runners as they interchange all the time and work hard to keep the ball. Conte on the other hand doesn’t really need creative midfielders as his style his not based on keeping poccession and pass and move. It’s a counter atttack style relying on WBs to provide the attacking thrust and forwards to provide the skill to finish.

As side note what type of player does potter buy for his style of football and bielsa or do they couch their players to play the passing through the team back to front to create attacking moments. You couldn’t say Brighton have a whole host citeh style quality players but still play a game very similar.

To be fair, when you think about it, Scotland actually have some good talent and some good players, as shit as they manage to look at times. Gilmour, Patterson and Hickey are great talents. Then there's Robertson, Tierney and McGinn who are all very good players. McTominay has his moments. With someone more competent than Steve Clarke in charge they could actually knock together a decent looking 11 with everyone fit and available.

Still levels below England though, even if they do always manage to raise their game when they play us here and there.

Would anyone take Aaron Ramsey? I've always thought he's a very good player. Probably somewhat under-rated. But haven't seen a lot of him in a Juventus shirt as I generally only watch Italian teams when they play an English side. Definitely past his best but could surely do a good job still.

Always thought he would excel under Klopp. He has the game for his style of football.
We should be aiming a bit higher than ex Woolwich stars past their best. We have had Gallas, Adebayor and Bentley and it never seems to work very well either because they are not good enough anymore and maybe even because they still subconsciously have feelings for Woolwich. When was the last time Woolwich or Chelsea took one of our cast offs?

Anyone got any actual good insight on Kulesvski ?

He’s strong, young and technical enough to play in midfield , so wondering if we’re thinking him for the RWB spot ?

I’ve heard good things about his time at Parma. Juve can’t get a tune out of Chiesa at the moment so we shouldn’t be too disheartened that he’s not pulling up trees there….
