Modric explains why he will not follow Bale in securing Tottenham return

However, speaking to FourFourTwo, the Croatian insisted that the time has now passed for him to follow Bale. Instead, he promised to finish his time with Los Blancos on a high before finding another club.

“I’m too old to go back to Tottenham,” the 35-year-old said.

“I still have a year left in Madrid and then we’ll see what happens. I feel good and I want to continue playing football for a few more years. I am focused on Madrid and the things we can achieve this season.

“Afterwards I will sit down to talk to the management, and we will look for a suitable solution for everyone.

“I have forged a good relationship with all the people of the club and no matter what happens there will be no problem.”

Adama will be absolutely shit in that role behind Kane that Son/Bergwijn plays.

He could be good if signed to be converted into a RWB to replace Emerson, but it’s still a big could because his crossing is pretty woeful from what I can see.

Why we don’t stop acting the cunt and actually just, you know, sign an ACTUAL right wing back and an ACTUAL attacking midfielder/wide forward rather than this pathetic cheap square pegs into round holes approach is is a mystery that unfortunately seems perpetually unsolvable.

100%

We then wonder why we cant shift these players and are left with so much deadwood in the squad. It happens time and again and usually in January.

According to a report by 90min, Tottenham Hotspur have approached AS Roma over a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele’s future at Spurs looks in doubt after the midfielder was booed off the pitch by fans in Tottenham’s FA Cup third-round win over Morecambe on Sunday.

Fabrizio Romano has since revealed that Tottenham are looking to shift Ndombele this month and are willing to discuss potential swap deals including the Frenchman.

If 90min’s latest update is to be believed, the North London club have now approached Roma over swapping Ndombele for Nicolo Zaniolo or Lorenzo Pellegrini.

However, the report claims that a deal is ‘unlikely’ to materialise this month.

Spurs are also thought to hold an interest in Roma starlet Ebrima Darboe but it is explained that Jose Mourinho is a fan of the youngster.

90min also suggest that Tottenham are exploring the option of swapping Ndombele for Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi, who Antonio Conte is said to be keen on reuniting with.

How ironic that if this did happen, it would possibly be the best thing that Mourinho has ever done for us. :/

EDIT: Very unlikely obviously. Just mindless / lazy 'journalism' I expect, like 99% of the 3rd party rumours posted on here.
