However.
On numerous occasions since the summer I've said that the ensuing 12 months was crunch-time for me in terms of spending as I believe that with the stadium built and the bulk of covid in the rear mirror that we should be seeing an upturn in spending.
Since summer 19 we've spent in excess of 200m..... If not for covid, I think that that ought to have been more and thus think that upturn should now be resumed.
Financial stats of this nature are just a picture of a moment in time..... Like I said a moment ago; we can endlessly pick dates and time-frames to reference if they suit our chosen narrative.... I'm trying to avoid doing that by not actively seeking out my own and just responding on face value to those put up by other people.
You're blurring the discussion between investment and general spending mate (2 diff. things).

We can’t move anyone without players coming in, squad isn’t that deep, we move say Bergwijn and Son and Lucas get injured it leaves a whole, same as moving Doherty or Rodon on.
Whilst I don’t think he is related or payroll, he seems intelligent yet no need for a job (judging by the daily post levels) you can see why folks think he’s ‘family’.
