Emerson has played 15 games. That simply isn't enough time to judge him one way or the other.
Walker and Rose were not instantly the finished article they took time to develop, Probably even harder for Emerson as he's settling into a totally different footballing culture.
I think he can work on his delivery, he's shown flashes of what he can produce.

The Eriksen type player comes in when we play teams that park a bus like Saints and Watford in recent weeks, we shouldn't need to play both Skipp and PEH for those types of games.

Even then; their final ball was never anything special either.....

Isco. Everyone wants a creative AM - Isco achieves that. And he won’t be expensive given his contract expires in 6 months.

now whether he would do the hard yards under Conte is another question.

No way you could play him as a #8 in the EPL.... Least of all because he's spent his entire career in la liga and has been patchy throughout despite having the luxury of being in one of the 2 top teams.

This guy looks great. I don’t understand why spurs don’t look at the championship anymore. Like Ben brereton would be a perfect signing as a back up for us and cheap

We bought Rodon from the champo last year.

I just don't think we scout intensively enough; be it domestically or abroad.

Paratici was said to be revamping our scouting system, so hopefully things finally start to look up over the next couple of windows.

Which I think it fair, but we’ve employed a manager that wants to win now.

I’m all for allowing players to develop but we have a chance at top 4 and Emerson is playing in a pivotal position for us and IMO, is causing us problems with his lack of end product.

If the manager thinks we need an upgrade I’m all for it. This position is too important to allow players to underperform.

The Walker and Rose analogies are odd as both were sent out on loan when they weren’t ready.

While I agree that right now Emersons delivery isn't great, He could come good in the next 10-15 games who knows?

I'm also just being realistic, Levy has just shelled out £30m on RWB to solve our issues there, he isn't going to go out and spend another £50-60m which is what it would take to get us the kind of ready made player with guaranteed delivery in that position. Those players are gold dust.

I can see us buying a back up for that position if Doherty is shown the door and anybody will take him off our hands, but we won't be spending the kind of fortunes to get the kind of ready made player with delivery you are talking about.

Not unless Levy changes his spots.

get an old head on loan til the summer and give Kane a rest every now and then

Go watch any 90 minute Isco performance from the last 12 months. It might be tough, there's very few to pick from, he's physically shot, and overweight. Few nice touches here and there but not one third of the player he was 5 years ago. Would be a terrible move. 10 goal contributions in his last four league seasons for one of the best teams in the world, Bergwijn had as many in two seasons with us.
