Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So looks like Woolwich are getting close on Isak. An exciting young striker in, in time to play a series of tricky January games.
Will we do the same? Will we get our signings in early with our similarly tricky month ahead?
Will we fuck. If any arrive, it will be at month end.
Fucking joke

literally got worst G/A stats than Bergwijn.......

WTF are you seeing? you'll have a nickname for him in no time.
There’s absolutely no subtlety to what anyone is seeing with Traore.

He’s arguably (and statistically) the single best player on planet earth at taking players on and beating them with a dribble. And he’s utterly Champo at everything else.

The subtlety comes with figuring out how valuable such a player is toward competing at the top end of the PL.

I’m deeply uncertain myself, I can see it both ways.

Can't agree with you there mate. He has some useful tools but every time I see him, even when he's a threat, he beats players by speed and bulk, little to do with skill. But much more than that, just look at his record. I don't want someone even worse than Moura in the side in what he offers outside of getting your team up the pitch.

Wolves will be better off without him in the team.

He's got an awful goals/assists record for sure. But if he comes on this game, watch when he's running with the ball .. he has excellent close control, I believe he's either top or 2nd for successful dribbles in the PL? He's not just kick and run, the pace and power helps but he's got fundamentals.

His biggest deficiency is 100% decision making. Which is the main reason I can see Conte getting a tune from him as he coaches relentlessly, in a very strict RWB role I can see him working really well. Especially when he notably has good defensive stats as well.

But hey ho, can't always agree on transfers .. but if Conte wants him he wants him right?

If he genuinely wants him, bring back Nuno. Or Jose. Or Mason. Anyone.

We could do with: (staying in the Premier League)

Lamptey
Bissouma
Maddison

Lloris

Lamptey
Sanchez
Romero
Davies
Reguilon

Bissouma
Skipp
Maddison

Son
Kane

Never going to happen though obviously. And even with that I'd still like a top centre-back, and also another forward to compete with Kane and to give him a rest when he needs it.

Basically we need a shit load of top players.
Bissouma has a rape case pending(to my knowledge). Which is why no (big ) club has been after him. So, no to Bissouma.

If we do sign Adama I feel like it may be one of our all time most controversial signings .. big divide in terms of some fans really wanting him/seeing something there, and the rest just not seeing even a remotely decent player.

Oh god his player thread would be the Kane one on steroids.

Wolves seem to be playing with a back 3 but no room for our man Adama in that system. If as some say he would make a great rwb occupying 2 defenders and so on how comes wolves haven’t seen his attributes?

“I would like to see from Adama what he did in the first three games, and what I saw in the last two weeks."

“That’s the Adama I want to see in the pitch. I want Adama to be more consistent, not just game by game, but also in the game.

“He’s the kind of player who, when you have the ball, can do something special. But I want more Adama during the game, not just when you have the ball. He needs to be there more time in the game.

“When he works from outside, he’s very dangerous. He’s working very hard to understand the inside game, he’s doing well, the last two weeks it was very good, and if you remember, the first three games, what he did was very good. I was very happy with the way he pressed, the way he created chances, the way he linked with the players.

“What I want is that and Adama knows he needs to fight with (Hee Chan) Hwang, Daniel (Podence) and (Francisco) Trincao, because the four guys are in a good way, and that’s good for me.”

Asked whether talks over a new improved contract might be a distraction for Traore, Lage said: “I don’t think so. He has people who work for him on that."

“Like he said, ‘the best is yet to come’ – I’m very happy with that, so we can see his focus is on the team.”

If we sign him for relatively cheap I'm okay with it. He's exciting as much as he is frustrating. I just wouldn't want us to go out of the way to sign him.

It's worse than that.... People are saying they want more creativity & end product from our RWB and think the answer is a RWinger that has no end product and no defensive ability to speak of.

At least one sad little shithouse is lying about other posters in order ramp up support for this 'masterplan' too.

"Imagine....." :dierno:

I may be wrong but I think he was actually pretty high up for tackles/blocks for a RW who has been in and out the team.

As for end product, I'm gonna stick my head on the line here and say I actually think he's a reasonably good crosser of the ball. He can't shoot for shit and he can't make good decisions, but I reckon he does far better from the positions Emerson was in vs Watford for example. I've seen him put in numerous great crosses this season that the likes of Jimenez have fucked up.

If his so good then when is Nelson keeping him out if the team at rwb? I don’t see a whole host of clubs sniffing around him. If conte works on his defensive attributes what if that nullifies his attacking threat. We will back to square one. From what I’ve seen if conte he likes his players to be cautious and play it safe rather than lose it on a dribble. May be he can tolerate one dribbler like Lucas but 2 in the team not so sure.

I just really hope it's a signing that Conte has been enthusiastic about. Because we were interested pre-Conte and I know Paratici was an admirer. If he's a player Conte is genuinely confident about making a 'project' then honestly .. I'd be fucking excited.

To be fair, he's a complete cunt with a golden Lamborghini and is a pace merchant the wrong side of 30. I'm with Arteta on this one.
Well if he's just trying to root out the cunts in his squad, he's going to have a lot more work to do that just Aubamayang.

Unfortunately PEA's goalscoring record since he got to Woolwich is pretty undeniable, only Kane, Salah, and Vardy can match it I think. They can spin it however they want, it's a big job for them to replace him.

Isak is pretty similar player profile to Auba except much less proven and not in the PL. Not physical, pace merchant (6'3 and weighs 145lbs), adds nothing in buildup play (only making 12 passes per game this season), decent finisher. He's young and has promise, but not a player I'd be sinking 100m euros into at this juncture.

I don't see it. I just don't see him as someone Conte could trust and have faith in. It's not like he's 19 and a raw prospect either. In fact if we sign him anytime soon, I'll request to change my username to "iLoveSammy'.

What is with all the sheep around here these days:
He’s fucking shit absolutely no way……..but if Conte wants him it’s ok

Imagine wanting your top class manager the club appointed on the understanding he'd be backed with players he wanted ... backed with players he wants.

Or should we sign players you rate instead? Like more Ndombele's. That'll go well.

Says the guy who wants to sign a kid from the championship he’s never seen play once

:harrylol:

I did largely mean in terms of actually playing as a defender.... But if his tackling stats are better than I beleive (albeit up-field and not against actually attackers) then that's something I s'pose.

Lack of goals doesn't concern me too much; just poor decision making and poor crossing.

I'd rather try and convert Berg to a WB and if it's to actually play him as a winger it's a "big hell" no from me, but Conte wants him specifically as a project then fair fucks.... I'd be chuffed, relieved and impressed to be proved wrong.

Most of the resistance is by fans who are intimidated by his physique - ie reverse projection. Good to see you’re not one of those.
