So, if we had the chance to take BALE for free on an 18 month contract for 20m quid (salary), would you take it? We need something to elevate this squad into the top 4 this season so we can attract players come summer.

Our 'rebuild' is going to take some time as Conte has hinted. Our best players (Son, Kane) are old and on a downward trajectory, also Lloris is 35, Moura is almost 30.

All the while, people seem desperate for us to sell our young players Sessegnon (21), Alli (25), Bergjwin (25), Sanchez (25), Winks (25), Rodon (24).

There are others we'd accept offers for.
Conte wants 3 in January, and 3 more in the summer.
The priority right now is for a CB that can play left and center, a RWB and an attacking option.
If the right AM become available we'd not turn our noses up.

I expect us to get at least two and probably the 3 Conte wants this month. I certainly wouldn't rule out more than that if we can get players moved on which again is down to FP now.

2nd leg of Semi final of League Cup still to play.

Only out of Europe because of COVID - and being out of this comp actually helps us with our top 4 ambitions.

The window has only been open a few days. Since our squad is full, player moves away need to be secured before incomings can be registered. We aren't about to reveal our targets to the press (and our competitors).
