I normally agree that i'd rather not sign anyone than panic and just add a load more fodder we'll be trying to bin off in 12 months. However this window is a bit different, without signing anyone i dont see us getting top 4 and given the other sides involved there has to be a chance for us to achieve that. Also we have a pretty tenuous grip on our very demandng manager and i think we need to serve up at least 1 first team quality player this window with the promise of more come summer.

I agree we have a manager who has no problem shooting from the hip but I can't see him getting what he wants.
The club tends to recruit around their budget rather than what we really need and somehow I don't see it changing.

I know we have to move a few on, but the DoF knew that in the summer, by the time Conte arrive the DoF must have know who HE would get rid of, surely he would have put wheels in motion in case Conte also wanted the same players out, (not saying getting deal done , just putting out feelers)
Just Doneunderstand what the DoF has been doing since the summer, how long does it take to make calls to clubs seeing if they want this/that player

I can't imagine it either I thought knowing who our boss is that we would have hit the ground running but I fear it's the usual raid on the bargain bin which is depressing but very Spurs.

Before we signed him everyone said he was a straight-talking bad-ass..... A couple of meddling journo's later and he's a shy puppy dog?

This last few days alone he's said:

He's happy, he's enjoying being here, relishes the hard work to come and that he didn't come here because of promises about trf budgets.

.......He was laughing and joking in his presser yesterday.



Honestly, some of you lot will have no hair and a dozen ulcers by the time the summer window is closed......

I dont think he'll walk out in February or anything like that but he clearly hasnt come here to make up the numbers and wants to compete and win things. Personally i'm more worried about beating Woolwich and West Ham to 4th than anything to do with Conte. That will be easier with 1 or 2 first team players coming in January.

I think West ham will do it they missed out last year I do think they will this time and I won't hear the last of it.

This whole narrtive about him walking out has been stirred up by Spurs fans I swear, no wonder the media are going to town asking him questions about it, it's because you all want to hear it, they're just profiting off your misery 😆

Probably fear it less than most. The main positive of him coming was that it appeared we wanted to achieve something and back a manager properly for once. If (and its still if at this stage) we aren't prepared to do that then there isnt much point him being here, either for us or him.
