Re: Gil. Not sure I fully buy into the idea that he urgently needs time playing in England, I think he needs a loan somewhere he'll start and play at as high a level as possible, or hold on to him and try to give him some game time. When we bought him it's not as if he had reached his peak in Spain and England was his next logical step. He's 20yo, 5 months playing regularly for a La Liga side would be a good move for him.
In that case when he comes back he will still need time adjusting. I get that hes young but we paid what 20m for him, it ain’t peanuts is it? Shouldn’t be a five year plan to get him into the team.

Get him on loan to someone else in the premier league and let him get used to the pace and physicality of the league. Going back to Spain is a waste of time

He was an embarrassment to our shirt for over a year. Playing with him was genuinely worse than playing with 10 men as a gap on the pitch doesn't give the ball away that often.
He'd be stealing a valuable squad place from a player with a future.
The only thing he could do in my eyes is help out players in training learn how to shoot from a free kick. He offers us absolutely nothing other than that.

I'll give him a clap if his name is ever read out for a team against us, but in no way would I ever wish he was playing for us again. He's finished.

You do realise that the guy in your avatar played him in the majority of matches during a championship winning run, right?

Current health aside, I'll take Conte's assessment of the guy over yours.

Kid has been doing really well at Lewes. I haven't been down there this season so haven't actually seen him in person. Legacy Lilywhite Legacy Lilywhite ?

Brighton and Southampton also interested. Might prefer Brighton as it is local?
He’s very talented for the level. A good dribbler and has a shot on him too. A bit like the non league version of Grealish. Impossible to know whether he could hack it at a higher level but he’s very skilful from what I’ve seen.
