Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just as we did before the latest Chelsea offering we need 2 or 3 players and maybe 3 or 4, if Alli and Ndombele are moved on.

It seems Conte has made his mind up on some and will wait for judgement on some others.

ENIC and Levy need to deliver enough for now to give Conte and us a fighting chance.

A busy 8 days is essential and today we saw another example of why bronkmsnship might be right but sometimes it's unhelpful.

No doubt Traore, erratic as he is and will be would have added something.

We won't have long to wait.

We have been waiting over 30 years so another decade won't hurt will it?

I've never seen a squad with more specific and obvious needs.

We are 3-4 of the right players from being just miles upon miles better, and Romero is one of them.

Agonizing that the club won't just take the golden opportunity that's right fucking in front of them.

No because january is so hard, we can't upgrade, just wait till the summer when the opportunity is NOW to get top four, etc etc.

Fucking joke.

the biggest problem is the midfield, we have skipp whos the only competent midfielder at the whole club...thats nothing short of a disgrace

its the reason we are always on edge every game because we can never control a game

The squad is just devoid of any real quality. We have absolutely no capacity to create any chances aside from Lucas/Bergwijn/Son running and catching teams on the break.

Our midfield is absolutely woeful. We have no playmaker. No quality whatsoever. Skipp is okay but he shouldn’t be the one tasked with keeping a game ticking over.

Our wing backs are absolutely crap. Doherty, Emerson, Sessengnon are all trash that wouldn’t get near any other ‘top 6’ team.

The likes of Kovacic(who we could have signed), Ziyech (who we could have signed) Mount, etc are in a different stratosphere to any creative player we have.

It’s just been so, so depressing watching us play for the last 2/3 years. Nearly every match is a chore.

No Dele, Ndombele or Lo Celso in the squad, yet room for White from u23's and Gil, suggests that those 3 may well leave this window. Don't think we will miss them on this seasons showings - although thanks for the memories Dele

Doherty is not my favourite player but showed he could play well for 45 minutes against Leicester, didn't excel today nor be a disaster. So if we can replace him, good, if it takes until the summer its not a problem.

Bergwijn showed again today he could be a decent forward option under Conte which removes the pressure to buy someone else.

Otherwise nothing new today - we have a number of players capable of being squad players, but could do with more top class players to be regular first team players either in January (and like other clubs we won't get many players in January) or the summer.

On the positive side the majority of players are putting in a shift under Conte and can contribute - a big change from the latter days of Mourhino or under Nuno.

Whoever comes this Window or in Summer will address some of our problems, but we have too many issues to solve this year (January and summer), so lets set our expectations accordingly

Completely agree. I would rather see Skipp, Winks and Hojberg in midfield because I can't stand watching Ndombele and Lo Celso in there, but it's nowhere near good enough and never will be. Thinking back to the days of Modric, Dembele, Eriksen - we are a million miles off that kind of quality.

Ultimately that comes down to piss poor recruitment as we have spent 80 odd million on those 2 jokers Lo Celso and Ndombele.

Reggie is half decent on his day, the rest of the full backs you can bin off completely. I'll take Traore at this point as we're desperate for an upgrade there.

Of course you don't need telling that Tanganga, Sanchez & Davies are not and will not ever be good enough.

We signed two creative players in 2019 for £100m, blame the club for getting those transfers wrong but you can blame those players for not putting the work in and not stepping up when required.

We're right between the mid table plonkers and the top tier... and we expect to be in the top tier.... maybe we dont know our rightful place....

Good day for the trolls ..... they've been waiting for 9 games to moan ... and just look at them go.

The more concerning thing is Aston Villa and Newcastle (who will probably stay up) could pass us up in the next few years if we aren’t careful.
