I say let Barca have him for that 29 mil that's been bandied about. I'd rather we spent 5-10 on that British kid Djed Spence. He's got great potential and can actually play the position

I couldn't care less as to what a player costs or what profit/loss there is when he goes.

A) Bad argument. I'm not paid thousands of pounds to scout footballers or in close contact with Conte who will have outlined what kind of player we need. Paratici is meant to be this super scout with a million contacts, but we can't find someone to improve on the likes of Winks or Doherty? Oh dear.

B) Adama would have improved us as a WB option. We should've paid the money ages ago. Or we should've gone in hard for someone like Lamptey, or not wasted nearly 30 million on Emerson in the first place. As for midfielders to improve us, Newcastle are signing one who walks in to our team. Attackers? Diaz has a fee Porto want, but we won't match it. We'll get close to appease the fans.

But who was against the Emerson signing, I seem to remember everyone getting really excited and begging Levy to pull out all the stops, he did and then people were saying he was a waste of money, same with N'Dombele. Who knows whether they are going to be a success or not? Every signing is a gamble.

There were people suspect of it from day one.

Plus do you not think that the people making our transfer decisions should have a better handle on things than fans on a message board?
