Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we somehow land Díaz, I think it’sa given that we’ll favour the 343 over the 352 for the remainder of the season at least. For the front 3 we’ll even be a touch bloated with large, Son, Dias, Lucas, Bergwijn and Gil. Even more if we get Morata or another number 9.

I wonder, if this transpires to be the case, if there’s a thought to so to Lucas or Bergwijn what Conte intended to do to Traore and head dung to so many other wingers. My preference would be Bergwijn, I think he’s got a great physique for it, but Conte seems to fancy him to be further forward and lord knows Lucas has the work rate, energy and pace for a Conte wingback. Good a hunch we might start seeing Lucas out at rwb if we do follow through with the mooted transfers.
2 players per position? Every managers dream

Lucas gonna become our RWB. At least til the summer, when we may sign Djed Spence, who'll take over...and Lucas will come off the bench at RWB or FWD depending on needs

Ooof... Forgot about Gil in my above assessment.

Also; is "Large" your pet-name for Kane? :ledleylick:

Likewise, Berg makes the most sense to me..... Seen snapshots of it under Jose and he was good.

Lucas would be crazy-fun-time, but we'd need the back 5 to be rock solid to compensate as (like you) I don't think the physique is there.

Not a bad shout that.

Jed Spence is meant to be the next one up by the way, they're looking at him as someone like Reeece James.

Reckon we'll got for Lamptey but will probably be priced out but end up with Spence.

If Poch didn't fuck KWP's career up we wouldn't be having this issue but nevermind...

As for Amrabat, I wanna say let's give the lad time. Yeah there are serious question marks and it's disappointing not to get a bigger name and one that - on paper - better corresponds to what Conte's been saying we're clearly lacking ie midfield maestro who can dictate play, creativity etc.

But let's give him time, might surprise us. And if he doesn't, it's not like we spent 50-60 odd mil on him like we did N'Dumb...

Back in the day when clubs had money, pre pandemic.

Getting £18m for Wimmer was complete robbery, one of Levy's best ever deals.

It wasn't at the time. Wimmer stepped in for Vertonghen and looked a really good centre-back. There were even Spurs fans (including me) who wanted him to keep his spot ahead of Jan. His performance at the Etihad in 2016 (a rare away win at a big club) was flawless.

£18 million seemed like a fair price. Not sure what happened to his career.

It was because Wimmer done well in 2015/16 (he was pretty much being carried by Alderweireld let's be real) then he levelled out in 2016/17 and was poor, he only played 5 matches in that season (15 in total in the league) and somehow his value went from £4m to £18m, mental lol

Alright cunts.

I’m drunk.

What’s happened?
Well obviously you have been drinking alcoholic beverages!
