Just wondering.... Player registration rules means he couldn't play for us until Jan, but if it's a done deal before then, could we get him in earlier than that and get him training with the rest of the non-WC lads?

Yeh... That's clearly "fuck off" money, but if they need to sell it'll be completely different..... Esp. as Marsh need to churn if he's gonna buy/boost.
He really isn't a transfer specialist type of reporter, but his info when it comes to Tottenham news is pretty good. He's not trying to be another Fabrizio Romano type, which is fine with me. If he confirms something, it's generally a lock because he won't announce unless he is super confident, so he's quoted as gospel usually because he won't say something unless it is super low risk.
Visa issues. On top of that, he can't have 2 employers at the same time.
So basically, no.
He can sign as an employee with us at any time though (just not register to play)...... At which point he could presumably terminate his registration/contract with Atalanta & Serie A.
Just spitballing; but where there's a will there's a way...... Afterall, if he is coming then it does no good for Atalanta still having him on the payroll with no fixtures to play from late Nov to late Dec.

Italian league is stopping for world cup, so we can't register him, but (and I'm no expert) I see no reason why a purchase contract cannot be signed whilst world cup break is on (providing player and Atalanta agree) and with that his visa situation sorted.
So yes, I think he could train at Spurs with players not going to WC during December, just cannot play.
Same in principle with other players too - that player might miss one or two matches at their former club but for most clubs not a problem especially if they also bring players in during WC break. Not a new idea, a few players are bought just before windows open every year.

Probably one people wouldn't clamour for, but I think Pascal Struijk is really good player, think he'd be a good rotation option at LCB. Obviously we need to make a top level signing there, so he's not really what we need, but he's a good player. Harrison might make a decent lwb. But they don't really have anybody I'd want in January.
